  1. Sorry Reozil for going off topic but...

    Lou2000,

    You have persistanstly harrassed this member from day one..You have no hard evidence showing either way of him having a legitimate copy or not.Secondly he has no obligation to answer to you or any other member of this board.Third if there is a problem then it is up to MadMatt and BFC to handle the issue not you.So drop the subject.You are not a Mod nor the forum police force so stop actinmg like it.

  2. To add to this discussion..I was watchng a show on the History Channel with interveiws of tank crews during WW2.In one video and interview they were talking about fighting in a town that a Panther had taken position in.They Americans did not know it was there until on of their Shermans were blown away moving toward the center of town.Another Sherman was order to go another direction to get to the Panther.They gunner said that they reached the Panther they fired a round into it.A few seconds later they fired another round into the Panther and the crew began to bail out..However the Sherman fired 2 more rounds into the Panther even as the crew was bailing out in plain sight of the Sherman crew.It was cool to see a Panther taken on by a Sherman in a video actually shot on scene.So I dont think the tanks continuing to fire into enemy AFVs in the game is a big problem as it is obvious after watching that documentary and interview that they actually did that even with the crews bailing out.

  3. I use it to good effect with this tactic...I will move my tanks into cover behind a building so as to be out of sight of the enemy or have them behind a dense wooded area..I will use this as an ambush area..when a enemy AFV or such is detected I will use the shoot and scoot to order it to move from behind the building or wooded area to engage the AFV or what have you and then scoot back into cover behind the building or woods.Even if it does not destroy the enemy it will at least slow him down a bit to deal with that threat or go around it.So it has worked for me in this way.

  4. Currenly we can only fully endorse the 30.82 or 30.87 series drivers. By modifying the .inf file that comes with them you can get these drivers to work with a GeForce 4 card.

    I would like to know what this .inf modification is that was talked about..

    I have a Ge-Force 4 Ti4200 128 MB card and the 30.82 and 30.87 driver work just fine without me having to do any modifying to any files.

    Will this modification improve the working of them or what is it for.

  5. I personally think the hide command for vehicles works just fine..I have set vehicles in a wooded area with a fire arc and have had enemy vehicles drive right by the area my tank is hiding and not even take notice to it.

    As long as nothing entered the fire arc i set the tank sat nice and quite and never fired a shot..Now if something entered its arc the it would fire away..ussualy to good effect.

  8. Well nevermind covered the differences between the two pretty good so no need for me to add to that.

    Now this is just my opinion but considering the price..Its actually cheaper to order the Bundle Pack..

    CMBO= $30.00

    CMBB= $45.00

    --------------

    $75.00 +SH

    CM Bundle Pack= 65.00 +SH = $10.00 savings

    Then just start out with the simpler CMBO to get the hang of the system of play and such..then when your ready move up to the more complicated CMBB..Thats what I did..

  9. I got some books not to long ago but forgot about them until I recently went through my storage shed.I have 3 books from the Army Course from Fort Benning Georgia.

    They are as follows.

    1.Infantry Squad Operations

    2.Mechanized Infantry Squad Operations

    3.Combat in Built up Areas..(city and town fighting)

    I got these from a yard sale and if you can find them anywhere..They greatly helped me with tactics and battle planning for this game.I find I am doing much better using what I am learning from reading them.The writing is for a modern force but transfers just as well to WW2 fighting.

  10. I personally would like a better organized Mod site...One that has the Mods broken down into what they type they are and what game they go to(ie..Tiger tank mods,Panther Mods etc..)instead of jumbled up and mixed together like CMMODS.I like CMMODS but I do not like how disorganized it is..I find it a pain in the rump having to sort through say all the German Vehicles mods just to find a particular one.

    A site similar to CMOUTPOST is what I am talking about...Reason being they have not updated anything for quite some time..

  11. Just thought it would be cool to be able to crush an anti-tank gun if you could get close to it instead of shooting at it...What got me thinking about it was these quotes from memoirs...Mostly dealing with the KV tank..

    German General Reinhardt, commander of the 41st PzKorp, regarding the battle of the Dubissa river on June 23rd 1941, between 80 BT tanks and 20 KVs of 2nd Soviet armoured division, and the entire 6th PzDiv equipped with PzKpfw IVs and PzKpfw 35(t):

    "One hundred of our tanks, which about a third were PzKpfw IV, occupied their positions against a counter-strike. Part of our forces met the enemy frontaly, but most of them were in their flanks. They hit the steel monsters from the three sides, but the attempts to destroy them were unsuccessful. By the contrary, it were our tanks the ones who were knocked-out. After a long struggle with the Soviet giants, the German armoured units began to withdraw trying to avoid the aniquilation. [...] One of them [the KVs] get close to a panzer who was stuck in a moody brook. Without hesitation, the black monster just roll over it, crushing it completely. At that time, arrived a German howitzer of 105 mm; its commander, seeing the aproximation of enemy tanks, ordered to open a continue fire, without causing any damage. One of them [the KVs] get close to 100m of the howitzer, which fired again, and its grenate hit the tank with all its strenght. The tanks stopped as hit by a lightning. "We made it!" thought the gunners. "Yes, we made it!!!", told the captain of the piece. But the expresson in their faces suddenly changed when one of them shouted: "It's moving again!!". There was no doubt when the shining caterpillar get close to the howitzer and crushed it as a toy, keep on moving later as nothing would happened." In that battle, the KVs of the 2nd Armoured Division claimed to destroy 40 panzers and 40 guns (most of them anti-tank guns of 37 mm, crushed the same way that the howitzer).

    About end of July 1941, Lt.General A. Yeremenko sent a reports to D.G.Pavlov, commander of the Western Front:

    "In the sector of the 107th Division, we sent a KV to silence an anti-tank eneny battery. It [the KV] crushed the artillery, it went all over upwards and downwards the emplacements of the enemy guns, it was hit more than 200 times, but the armour wasn't penetrated, even when it was hit by guns of every type."
