  1. Ooh...could someone be dropping a not-so-subtle hint?
  2. Hi all Just posted a whitewashed PzIIIL (grey) with the markings of 3rd PzD at www.cmmods.com The screenshot isn't the best, but I just played a QB with a platoon of them and it fits really well with the snowy terrain. As usual, feedback welcomed and encouraged Enjoy Joe
  3. At last! I've finished my project, and so, to celebrate, I've released a mod! It's a whitewashed PzIIIJ (short, late) with the markings of the 2nd PzD. It's at www.cmmods.com Enjoy! Joe
  4. Yeah..that will do it. Using the radom map generator in the editor will create a random map, and saving that in the QB folder allows you to play it later
  5. *SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT* = = = = = = = I'm working on a range of whitewashed tanks and AFV, mainly for German panzergrau but also some soviet and late German. They're at www.cmmods.com Some examples..
  6. If you generate a random map in the scenario editor, and then save it in QB folder, it's the same as saving a QB map in the QB folder. Is that what you mean? Joe
  7. This coursework is VERY dull! Can't wait until I can get modding again!
  8. It's a range pole, used for calculating ranges and elevations etc. Each coloured bar is one foot ( I think). They would have been used by any gun that needed boresighting
  9. Remgain converted my dusty mods to CMMOS, and I think he may be doing these as well, but you're welcome to help him. Email him and ask what he's doing. Feel free to do any he isn't Joe
  10. Now I've done the KV-1S in the new style, I'm quite fond of it I certainly will do my other Russians in this style, keeping the other whitewash effect for Germans. I'm not sure whether I'll update the KV1 Mod 40 and BT-7 1935 in the new style or not. Guess it depends on demand.. Joe
  11. I couldn't agree more! I really like winter scenarios, and if I play a QB and I'm given a tank that I haven't whitewashed, I can't play until I've modded it! Argh..maybe one day, when my work is done, I'll be able to play a battle for longer than 5 mins before I boot up PaintShop! Joe
  12. How's this? It's a historical whitewash scheme, and is different to my German whitewash scheme. Feedback welcome Joe
  13. IIRC, they provide total concealment for a crawling squad, and I think quite good cover from small arms fire, although HE still hurts them Joe
  14. That's very likely. I'll move onto late German armour once I've finished the panzergrau series, but now and then, when I fancy a change, I'll do some non-winter schemes, as well as Soviet and late German winter. I'll keep the generic late Tiger in mind next time I do a non-panzergrau mod Joe
  15. Ok..in case the picture isn't showing, go here http://uk.photos.yahoo.com/canonuk2000 The pic is in a folder called Whitewash. BTW, does anyone know of a free web hosting site, that allows hotlinking? I guess that Yahoo doesn't Joe EDIT: Also, has anyone got any photos of whitewash Soviet armour, especially with slogans etc. I'd appreciate if you could email them to me at the address in my profile. Thanks [ January 04, 2003, 02:38 PM: Message edited by: Canon ]
  16. Hmm..a different whitewash style? How about this then? I've only done the turret, and very quickly, just to show a possible stlye. It's sort of whitewashed, but worn at the edges. Any better? Joe
  17. Hi Tracer Just in case you don't know already, here's a tip to stop pinkie problems I guess you are using either PSP or Photoshop, and the technique is similar in both. 1)select the 'magic wand' tool, with tolerance set to about 150 2)click somewhere on the bmp that isn't pink 3) everything except the pink bits should be selected 4) press ctrl+shift+i to inverse the selection 5) copy this selection into a new layer, and call it 'pink' or something else useful 6) keep this layer at the top, and you won't get any problems Joe
  18. Hi all In an attempt to reduce the number of threads I post about mod releases, I've started this one thread into which I'll post all announcements. I've just uploaded two new mods at www.cmmods.com Sadly, real life is about to get in the way, and I've got to work on a Uni project for a week or so, so no new mods for a little while. But once I've finished, I'll be able to make even more mods! Enjoy Joe
  19. Why the 1940 model? Well, I'm a big fan of early war battles, hence most of my German mods are for panzergrau. I needed a whitewashed T34 1940 for a QB I'm playing. But don't worry, there'll be others. My main priority is to whitewash the pazergrau vehicles and tanks, but there'll be occasional soviet tanks as well! I've finished a KV-1 Model 1940 as well, but can't upload it at the moment due to bloody PC gremlins.. Joe
  20. Just a quick note...if there's interest, I can add an aerial recognition flag to the engine deck. Let me know.. Joe
  21. The problem I can see with this is that prolific modders (such as myself and gautrek etc) release mods most days, and subsequently any thread would soon become so full of pictures that it would take ages to load! Joe</font>
  22. Just posted a whitewashed T34 at www.cmmods.com I'd appreciate feedback, as this is my first attempt at using my whitewashing technique on a soviet tank. Joe
