The problem I can see with this is that prolific modders (such as myself and gautrek etc) release mods most days, and subsequently any thread would soon become so full of pictures that it would take ages to load! Joe

Relax! I'm working through the entire panzergrau set, and whitewashing them all in this scheme. And, as a special treat for you Agua, my next one will be the StuIIIB Joe -

The link didn't work because I had included a comma. It's fixed now Joe -

Don't worry..I won't, as long as I get comments like "they're my favorite winter vehicle mods now." Joe p.s Happy new Year!
-
Don't worry! My rusty StuG will still be available to download. I just plan to release a complete set of the same style, so if people want they can have fully matching winter sets. Poor old rusty StuG got a lot of flak when he popped his head up on this board. People said he was too rusty etc. I can sort of see that now, which is why my mods now have a more realistic look about them (I hope!). Anyway, I'm glad someone likes him! (actually, he's my most downloaded mod I think) Joe

Thanks for the nice comments guys. Seeing as my new technique works so well, I'm going to do all my previous winter mods again in my new whitewash style, as well as all the other panzergrau vehicles/tanks (including the whole 250 / 251 series)

Just uploaded two new winter mods at www.cmmods.com A captured T34 Mod 41 and the PSW 231/232 & 233 models Joe

The big modding poll (austentatious i know :p )
Canon replied to Oddball_E8's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I'm working through all German vehicles and tanks, and making dusty and winter versions Joe -
Well, I should be improving after doing 35+ mods! I will almost certainly be doing the PzIIIL and IIIJ (although each variant of the PzIIIJ has its own set of bmps!). I haven't decided to whitewash it in the style of my PzIVF or the PzIIIG Joe

Hi guys Just uploaded 2 whitewashed panzers at www.cmmods.com. I've used different techniques on both, but they still look good together in game Feedback welcome

I don't recall seeing any Sdkfz 251 with a grille, although IIRC halftracks like the Sdkfz 7 did. Copy and paste this link into your address bar for a picture of a Sdkfz 251, without a grille Joe http://www.chez.com/mythicpanzers/Images/Kampfw agens/03-Sd.Kfz.251-Serien/25-Mittlere-Schutzenpanzerwagen_Sd.Kfz.251_Ausf.D.jpg [ December 28, 2002, 09:09 AM: Message edited by: Canon ]

I've noticed that too. I'm actually working on a winter PzIIIG now, and I'm trying out a technique to make it look more 3D Joe
-
That's very true. Some seem to 'take' the paint better, and others give either a really flat or really pixellated appearance. Oh well...just encourages me to try harder! Joe
-
Thanks. You won't believe how long I spent getting a whitewash look I was happy with. I'm still working on improving it Joe
