Both games are in different folders, i patched my global conflict to 1.07 so I can continue to play the advanced reich mod and then I also installed the Gold and it is created in another folder and when I start the game it says version 1.00 which is normal.

Read the above mentioned posts and make sure you take that one file that is causing the false positive with your anti virus and place it in your exception folder within the anti virus program. I will pm you

Thanks Hubert for clearing that up for me. I keep things forever and Is till play your cmbb and cmak games as single player and email. I just like the simplicity of the design and the challenge of the game.

That's what I wrote about in another post vonRocko. It's like if you buy a book and fail to read it within the year and then when you want to read it you have to pay for it again. If this continues, most likely I will not purchase and I have spent some bucks on their games, just not a user friendly way to do business. I hope they change the status of this policy.

Thanks, so if I decide to get three different computers in the next 3-5 years I will be unable to play the game? I still play cmbb and have had that game on like 5 computers I owned over the years. This is not a good policy with a time limit or re-installs on the disks. I know stuff gets pirated but if I buy the game in 2011 and want to play it in 2019 irregardless of the number of computers I have owned I should believe that I do not have to buy the game again? Am I wrong? I just don't like the time issue on things

I went to start the game yesterday from the desktop and nothing? Had to reinstall the game again and it worked, not sure what happend, no changes made.?????
PS No limit to the amount of times reinstalling the game? I hope?
By the way, what happens when the computer needs to be upgraded 2 years from now, will these games have to be repurchased? I hope I misunderstood some of the other posts.

I got it to work guys, if your using AVG, make sure you place the application and the specific file in the exception list. I was doing this all along and it wasn't working then all of a sudden it worked, go figure.

moon, what should I do? I moved it to the vault?
the game still will not start, this is not right I never have a problem before ever adding any games from battlefront, I am not a happy camper right now

I received a email today for the 1.07 patch and the pre ordered Gold set- up. I installed the game after patching the game to 1.07
When installing the Gold file my AVG virus program came across
c:\program files (x86)\Battlefront\Strategic Command Global Conflict Gold\sc2glib.dll
Threat name: Virus found Win32/Heur
detected on open
This happens when you click on the game to play after the install. I have installed the game three times and it does this.
Game will not open after clicking the desktop icon

I continued to play the mod and I am in the summer of 1944, i ended up capturing Moscow in 1943, Stalingrad in early 1944, no Leningrad yet. Was able to knock the USA off Sicily but they are moving near Tunisia etc. The Turks sided with Allies but I beat them by conquering all of the Middle East except Iran which is still Neutral. Therefore, I am just about to conduct an operation if time permits to move to the Caucasus through Turkey. I had the Brits locked into a blockade with all my subs and ships knocking off the transports with ease. I should have used a few subs off Gibraltar in 1943 to stop the North African Campaign.
It's hard for me to take Moscow in this game when starting in 1941. Lots of fun

I ordered the digital copy and it looks like you have to order the physical copy as well which will add 10 bucks to the cost. I wish the preorder was just 25 and forget the disk.

I downloaded the adv third reich 1.6 version for the game and in the start-up screen it still says 1.4 for me. Is this a mistake? Just curious

I support this company with the games they produce since its quality. However, when I bought the game from Matrix called War in the East for like 80 bucks it will be the last time I pay that much. I just bought battlefield 3 for 45 bucks and that game will be played for the next 5 years. I still play Battlefield 2 each day and that game is over 6 years old. The best 50 bucks ever spent. At least this company writes you back when problems arise unlike Steam and Electronic Arts. I also Like the mods all the guys produce and even though I purchased Normandy - I rarely play it - I want Eastern Front. I understand you superfly and with the tough economic times it might be hard to purchase. same with me

I don't understand it, the game works at one point, and then 3 days later I click on the shortcut icon and the game doesn't want to start. This is getting to be quite disappointing since I paid $35.00 for frustration. With hindsight being 20/20 I would have stayed with the regular Global Conflict and not gone through this frustration of each time I want to play I have to do another reinstall. It just doesn't make sense. I have a system that is really gamer friendly and plays everything from all of the EA online games, matrix games, HPS, Slitherine etc.
