  1. Possible Spoiler................... Regarding the above post I haven't unfortunately played that operation yet - but I will. The one I have played was "Macgnusen Bridgehead" or something to that effect where the terrain was rural and flat. Why are troops shifted forward and back, I thought they would all be padlocked within NML – pity.
  2. In my opinion the operations are much better than in CMBO mainly due to the flags and new frontline options. My only gripe is when the designer sets up minimal no mans land (NML). To me this basically negates the whole effect of the new static option as NML is so small that very few units are ever padlocked and your whole force can basically be moved arround (totally unrealistically) between battles. In my first Static operation with CMBB (i've only played one) I found at the start of the 2nd battle about 8 tanks less than 80m from my front lines. My guys must have been deaf not to have heared them comming in. It made for an interesting fight but the next battle you obviously took this into consideration durring set-up and it was a turkey shoot. My understanding of no mans land is that all units in the designated NML will be padlocked therefore not allowing whole loads of fresh units to suddenly appear 80m from your frontline undetected and vice versa(durring the day in Russia!)and for units engaged in firefights not to suddenly appear on the opposite side of the map. Anyway I hope that is the way it works. My tip (if the above is indeed true)is to make NML reasonably large, which will be much more realistic and make reinforcements have to be moved into the area and not just suddenly appear there.
  3. Just to add to my above post...BFC responded very quickly to my mail sent through yesterday...2 responses by the time I arrived at work today so thanks for the quick responce know if only that game could go super priority mail.
  4. Well i've just found out that I won't be receiving it for a while as there was some sort of mess up with my order between their orders dept and despatch (from Ireland so it doesn't apply to you Aussies I guess)with the result my game wasn't despatched on the 20th. By the time they found this out the game was already on back order (good for them) 'till today so they're only despatching it today. Aaaarghhhh!! I guess I could moan but it won't do any good, so i'll just have to wait. Oh well more CMBO for me.
  5. I haven't received it in South Africa either ...at least you guys know that the game is getting through to some of you. CMBO eventually had to be couriered to me after waiting 2 months for it. I hope the same doesn't happen here.
  6. Oh well the postman has just been and gone and no CMBB. I guess another weekend without it so I'll have to console myself with rugby on the telly and a few beers to celebrate a Sharks and Blue Bulls victory.
  7. My advice is to change the topic line so that people don't think it is the same problem as the CD being in the manual story. People probally aren't responding to that anymore.
  8. That's not fair! Please let me know when you receive yours as I had a lot of problems when ordering CMBO. I blamed it on our post office but who knows?
  9. No luck in Cape Town yet and wasn't expecting it for a while but judging by the relatively early receipts in Australia and Canada, I am hopeful that it will be this week. Any news from other "Africans".
  10. Don't know how to Quote yet but...it may be 9am where you are but it's 4pm here, I think my beer is a lot closer than yours.
  11. 2nd attempt at this post... As far as i'm concerned the Canadian Post dept rocks compared to ours in South Africa. I ordered CMBO in Aug last year from Stor4war in France (BFC rep for Africa last year?)and after 2.5 months of waiting and them despatching 2 games to me and none of them arriving (there were no back orders at the time)I eventually had to organise my couriers (DHL) to collect the game from them. (Stor4war was excellent by the way despite the fact that I cant speak French and had to guess what was being said.)Over here not only do we have land redistribution issues but we have a very effective Post Office at parcel redistribution. I ordered CMBB last week so i'm quite interested to see when and if it arrives...please,pleeease. Re pricing - I ended up paying R900.00 for CMBO, which is quite a lot since a new game off the shelf costs R299.00 (Microsoft games excluded). That probally means nothing to most of you guys so 'll put it in a context you will all understand. A good beer at a trendy night club costs R9.00 so I ended up paying 100 beers for the game (less tip of coarse - you UK guys won't understand what that is anyway). If all works out for CMBB i'll only pay 60 to 70 beers for it so i'm pretty happy with the pricing. PS - this is my first post after lurking here (unregistered of coarse)for about 18 months and my first post ever on a forum so if I have any strange unintended results in my post please forgive me.
