I would think that All those Chech Tank chassis lying around (T-28's?? God I SHOULD know this at least)would make the most fodder for an AT platform, thus the maruder 1 or 2 being most common...??? GROGNARDS TO THE RESCUE! -

What new STALINGRAD movie!!??!! In Europe..USA..? -
Ok...so in CMBO we all know what to do with those left over 11-20 points....what the hell..get a sniper (or a lmg). I remember my snipers getting spotted very easily for the most part. Arent these guys trained in concealment??? And why only 10 rounds of ammo???????? Will CMBB snipers have a longer life due to shoot n scoot? Will they have more than 10 rounds of ammo.......?

Popin' those turrets.......!
scorpius1001 replied to scorpius1001's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
thanks for the reply...but the accounts also include damage due to the initial kinetic energy of the shot to turret/mantle.... -
According to the "accounts" given in the book 'Panzer Aces'. Alot of these fellows seem to be quite good (or lucky) at hitting Soviet tanks (t-28..34 so on)..to where the turrets are completely blown off the main body of the tank itself. L/75-L/88's are the main weapons in usage, regaurding the previous statement. So..will this effect be modeled in CMBB..or are these guys just blowing hot air after too many lagers at Octoberfest...!! Grodnards to the rescue!! Please!

Anyone else intimidated by Russian armor?
scorpius1001 replied to legend42's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Range Range Range........Keep those L/75 equipped boys back if possible and take advantage of the range those guns provide. I believe the maps will now be somewhat bigger where this tactic can be better employed......As for early on...well...I gonna have to see how fast anything with a 37mm(?)short gun can move for those all important Flank/rear shots.......Any reading on this subject? PANZER ACES is very vauge on the topic of early war panzer tactics on the eastern front. -
I had sucess as the russian by havin my reg inf on board the t-34's runnin up the right side of the map and unloading my inf just below a rise to the forest with the objective flag. I repeated this one more time while conscripts were on the left flank givin those Mg-42's somthin to do. After my last load the T-34 gave supporting fire while my inf swept left thru the woods and eventually (I had to wait 2 turns to gather them up with CO's) made a human wave attack to the center woods to capture the next objective. Pretty easy I thought..........Though those poor farmboys on the left would disagree........

scorpius1001 replied to Shep's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Hey dont forget those battles in Cross of Iron....If I can just find it in all these boxes!!!..P.S. would'nt it be trippy to play thoses scnarios..and see a factory pumping out T-34's just before you assault it!!!! -
Dude..Im reading the book right now........lets just say im not expecting my crews to put three shots thru the barrel of a KV-1.....lol!
-
It is well known that many Russian units had political commisars attachted to them..In the movie Enemy At The Gates, I remember a scene where a human wave attack in Stalingrad Is repulsed and the retreating survivors are shot by thier officers and accompaning commisar...this might be spltting hairs..but will such factors be incorporated in CMBB regaurding russian morale in attacks..........??????
-
Hehe...just wait till you have to run your armor thru Berlin.............Watch out for those 15 yr old brats!!!
