  1. I don't like reloading, it makes it much more difficult to ambush an enemy and subs loose their biggest ally, the ability not to be easily found. But, there are times when you do have to reload. The last time I did was the power outage. I was in the middle of a turn. Anyway, currently, people set "special" rules into most of the games (bidding, unit limits, etc)so another rule could be to allow, or not to allow reloading. If you feel a person is not following the rules that were agreed upon, then don't play them again. It should also be understood that unless otherwise specified, reloading is not allowed. Unless, of coarse, there is a valid excuse (pc problems, power outages, computer unplugged by the wife , etc). I also had an opponent purches an HQ instead of an armored unit by mistake. He reloaded an explained what happened. Thats fine. An honest mistake. So its really up to the players. Again, you don't have to play anybody you don't want to. As for tournaments, the rules are usually spelled out before hand. I like leagues better than tournaments. A group of 8 or so players who you have to play every one twice or something. That way you get to play many more people with a range of styles and strategies. And your gauranteed to have a game going. [ August 20, 2003, 01:23 PM: Message edited by: Jordy ]
  2. Anyway...I like the idea of a PBEM sticky. Due to my schedule, I am finding it more and more difficult to play a couple hours a night (this is proof I do have a life). It would be good to post tournaments and easier to find PBEM opponents. I think I will be switching over to pretty much only PBEM shortly (after I finish my TCP games in progress) because its getting harder and harder to play the game while the wife throws stuff at me. 3. Well, If we ever get this thing going (hopefully after the Ryder Cup) then my team name will be Canyonero.
  4. Nevermind, just saw the email . Thanks Mr. Cater [ August 18, 2003, 10:31 AM: Message edited by: Jordy ]

  6. Thanks everyone. It just looked strange to me. I wasn't sure what happened.
  7. It did it again on the next turn too. The first time the Soviet 1st AF was destroyed, this time the 3rd. I also saved this file.
  8. Mr. Cater I cant see what exactly is happening when my opponent moves because of Fog-or-War but here is what happened. I was watching the replay and the Surprise enemy contact meesage comes up. Then my fighter takes a hit and it looks like his was destroyed. Mine was not on the front line so he had no-where to try and move to. So I don't know how he was "surprised" Maybe intercepted. I dont know. Anyway, it didn't look right. Just wondering if there are certain instances where this can happen. I have the file I was sent saved.
  9. Count me in. Packers, Vikings, Lions, Bears. Your from the midwest aren't you. I'll guess Wisconsin. Maybe you recently moved to Florida? You know my e-mail address. In the case of a tie, I assume your talking about for playoff seeds, do something like, best division record, if still tied then best conference record. Or more "road" or "home" wins.
  10. I think it would be so much better if they had hellcats on the deck instead of the jets. Still really interesting though. I will definitely have to go there.
  11. Im available but suck. Still learning how to play against people an not the AI
  12. Welcome back Mr. Rambo. The forum wasn't as interesting with you gone. And so that this has something to do with sc, when do I get to read the AAR's for the SC Ryder Cup
  13. This is fimiliar to the Les-the-Sarge(or whatever his name was) quitting because he didn't get enough respect and nobody appreciates him. But this way he can blame someone else. I suck at SC but its a fun game. If he quits, he quits. Who cares. They'll be other people here to kick my ass.
  14. So does this mean Im off the hook now Kuniworth?
  15. Soooo, when was the Ryder cup going to be played?
  16. LOL. Only if I was using two computers to post at the same time with different IP's [ August 06, 2003, 07:15 PM: Message edited by: Jordy ]
  17. Oh shoot, sorry I just checked the standings. Maybe it was him since Ive never played C. Rice. My record should be 3-1 if anyone wants to, or even can, reset it. [ August 06, 2003, 07:01 PM: Message edited by: Jordy ]
  18. Sorry, Kuniworth. It was Curry who lost to me twice. So rather than let C. Rice be even put into the same catagory as LZ, Ive decided to clear up any misconceptions right away. And my response of "Jerk" was quick, easy and to the point. It got too difficult to keep up with the Spam attack though or else they all would of included that response. Many times the key to winning an argument is facts and brevity. Both of which that statement had.
  19. Riot!!!! Madmatt or Moon RESTORE ORDER Now, where are you??? Kuniworth calls upon reenforcements in order to stop the Spam onslaught brought forth by Lucky Zebra [ August 06, 2003, 08:07 AM: Message edited by: Jordy ]
  20. After reading the ten Lucky Zebra posts I have tears running down my face Im laughing so hard
  21. You asked about education. I have a degree in electrical engineering. My job requires that I frequently travel to Japan and am currently studying the language. Do to this fact I am very busy and do not spend all of my time playing SC. I do however find the game interesting and enjoy it very much. As for the frequent responses of Jerk, I find that it gets the point across very well. Some of us do have better things to do than stir up arguments in forums about games they obviously cant grasp. Instead of dismissing a game because you are no good at it you should try and play it more and become better at it. As for learning another language, you have along way to go, as your spelling can attest.
