Don't worry, the marsh mod will match the water and they'll be light and dark versions. smile.gif

I'm still doing trees at the moment though, they're quite time consuming.

I think I can just about cope smile.gif Good point about the modability of CM. Being able to change the look of the game is almost as much fun as playing it.

The trees are coming on nicely so should have them done soonish.

  3. Hello again Mr Die Easy

I know exactly what you mean but I think that'll have to do for now. If I remember correctly the ice mods are a little different to the water mods in that there are less bmps and its a bit more difficult to get them to match up nicely, especially if you have a broken pattern like my mod. I'll have a look at it again at some stage but don't hold your breath smile.gif

  4. Mr Die Easy. Thanks for the feedback. I've been meaning to fix that for a while. I've just uploaded a new version of the winterwater to the CM MOD database. See what you think of it.

Vedder - I'm not sure but it sounds like some people have used them in both (but dont take my word for it)

  5. Hi CBase

The trees are my own. I haven't uploaded these yet as they're not quite finished. The tree grounds are the same as those that I uploaded with the ungridded version of this mod (the scattered tree ground is just a transparent map). When the trees are finished I'll post a message here and I'll upload them along with the grounds. I've also got rough, brush and marsh mods which are nearly done so I'll post them at the same time as well.

  6. Glad some of you like them smile.gif Louie there are ungridded versions available as well if you'd prefer them. I forgot about saying where they were uploaded as I don't tend to look anywhere else these days so thanks for putting the link up nevermind. (I might do a CMBB version one day but I haven't bought it yet)

  7. Hi guys

Just thought I'd mention that I've uploaded gridded versions of my CMBO terrain mods. I finally got around to trying this and was an instant convert to the gridded battlefield. I made the grid a bit thicker at 100m intervals as I thought that made it a bit easier to count of distance.

Hope you get some good use out of them

    Hi Sordftr

I can't comment on the 7000 or CMBB but I had CMBO running beautifully on my beige G3 with the Mac edition 32MB ATI Radeon PCI card. It actually looked better on this card than it does on my newer G4 with the NVidia G4MX card. The NVidia card downsamples CMBO quite a lot whereas the ATI Radeon didn't downsample CMBO at all (not that I could tell).

    Hi Toad

My apologies for not making things clear. I've edited the post above and removed the link to the bad files on my server. I actually replaced the original file at www.cmmods.com with the fixed bmps for the first three sets of flags and then added the second set of worn flags as a second upload to the database. In other words everything you need is over at www.cmmods.com

  10. Hi Astrocat

Glad you got things working. Does that only work with the new file I uploaded?

Its weird that that imagewidth works on my computer but not on a PC? I had meant to have them at 256 but I obviously scaled things at some stage and forgot about it. I'll upload a new version at the database as soon as I get a chance.

    Cheers

P.S. I assume you know how to scale mods with pink bits in?

    Just in case:

Select by colour with 0 tolerence on the pink stuff. Delete. Scale remaining image. add new layer and fill with pink. copy and paste scaled layer over pink layer. Flatten.

  11. Hi AstroCat

Thanks for looking. I'm not sure what's going on but I've rezipped the files using different preferences and uploaded them to my server here:

    File removed

Could you or someone else try these and see if they work.

    Cheers

    SDog

P.S. I knew someone would ask for small battle-worn flags smile.gif If I can sort out this problem then we'll see what can be done.

  12. Evening chaps

I've just uploaded a flag mod for CMBO at the database. The flags in this set are based on those in Juju and Shep's excellent CMBB definitive flag pack and I'd like to acknowledge the use of two of the maps from this pack as well as the general use of the GenericFlag.bmp provided with that pack. I'd also like to thank Juju for approving their use.

This pack is designed for use with CMBO only and comprise three sets of flags:

    1) CMBO_big = Large (i.e. standard) flags.

    2) CMBO_small = Smaller flags. I like these as they allow you to have flags on but they don't obscure the action.

    3) CMBO_worn = Large flags with holes, rips, tears and burns. Flags that have seen action!

All of the flags have also been given a 'blowing in the wind' look which I'm quite pleased with smile.gif

There is also a non-swastika alternative for each of these should you not wish to sully your monitor with abused oriental symbols.

Here are some pictures (they should look a little better than this in general as my Mac is downsampling textures a fair bit):

    Enjoy

  13. Hi

I'm not sure this is specifically related to CMBB or the new OpenGL drivers. I get the same problem on the same system as yours when I'm running CMBO. I have OSX 10.2.1 and OS 9.2.2

I have no idea what causes this but I suspect its something to do with the Nvidia card. I've written to NVidia about their card in relation to Combat Mission games but have had no response. Maybe if more of us did this we might get a reply?

  14. 'Berlin - The downfall 1945' by Antony Beevor is a superb read covering the last few months of the war on the eastern front. It covers the establishment of bridgeheads across the Oder and the battle for the Seelow Heights, the Baltic coast, Pomerania, etc. and the final battle for Berlin itself. Its a gripping read which graphically illustrates the total defeat of Germany in 1945. The book is a great insight into the end of WWII and the events which shaped much of the latter part of the 20th century.
