I have finished a mod of the original campaign with a bigger map (Atlantic ocean is 20 tiles wider), with a OBA modified,more neutrals , Supply efects for simulating surface raiders like BB Bismark , USSR activation towards allies depends on ussr units in the frontier,Aircrafts and CL have less impact destroying land units, Carriers don´t take so much damage when attack BB and CL. Well IMHO it isn,t gamey becuse you have to make a superior effort to conquer france I usually lost from 1 unit to 3 units ( I rebuild them just before Barbarrosa at reduced cost , and i have had luck in Prod.Tech. rejoin my oob with the most advances avaliable). Gamey is not to conquer Cairo after a retreat but I say you that Paris Battle and french counterattacks are superior if you dont take Denmmark ... I take more risk and employ more time in the first phases in the war but this tactic help me in the big task ( conquer Ussr with less units) there is a trade off time an points for moral boost.

Thanks JJ Rambo,but by the other side is not worthy that USA didn´t wake until late of 1942? I have tried this tactic and leave UK lonely until the end of 1941 and when I call to the door of the Ussr I have 4 minors that boost my moral in the attack of leningrad and moscow ( i dont used to attack the minors until i,m in range of both cities). In two games i have conquered both in two turns and the counterattacks are minimal (penalty of 20 to 40 to moral of Ussr for 2 minors conquered). Don´t you think that the better effect of minors with only one city (Benelux,Denmark,Tunisia,and Greece) is this boost to moral than the production itself?. I think that your way of playing is very creative, and i think that a player for having a good time must to be creative and do not do every game the same path to victory (or defeat) because the play becomes a reiterative task (not very funny). Mr. Legend JJ Rambo I have 2 questions for you: 1 any time have you conquered France with axis in a game against a Human, without needing to conquer or invade Benelux and Denmark? 2 Do you think it is a good strategy not declare war to neutrals until Barbarossa? What´s your opinion? Finally I want to say you that I always enjoy with your comments, do not change.

I want to recommend reading about the real effects of the strategic Bombing (economic war) and specialy what said the recently deceased economist J.K. Galbraith : "At the end of the second world war, I was the director for overall effects of the United States strategic bombing survey - Usbus, as it was known. I led a large professional economic staff in assessment of the industrial and military effects of the bombing of Germany. The strategic bombing of German industry, transportation and cities, was gravely disappointing. Attacks on factories that made such seemingly crucial components as ball bearings, and even attacks on aircraft plants, were sadly useless. With plant and machinery relocation and more determined management, fighter aircraft production actually increased in early 1944 after major bombing. In the cities, the random cruelty and death inflicted from the sky had no appreciable effect on war production or the war. These findings were vigorously resisted by the Allied armed services - especially, needless to say, the air command, even though they were the work of the most capable scholars and were supported by German industry officials and impeccable German statistics, as well as by the director of German arms production, Albert Speer. All our conclusions were cast aside. The air command´s public and academic allies united to arrest my appointment to a Harvard professorship and succeeded in doing so for a year."

KillerTomato I do the same, but one reason to prefer PT to IT is that the units rebuilded cost less with all the high tech avaliable (discount for rebuild applies to the final cost of the unit).

I think that if you have modified in the editor the order of battle this new number of units becomes the hard limmit of purchases, and I test this mod playing with allies and it works fine (I can not purchases more than 3 armoured corps for USA and 15 corps for Ussr). S.F.M.B.E.
