  1. It's not the fact that you can reoganize the French army to have the full effect of its quality armor. It's the ease and speed with wich it is possible, wich raises a few eyebrowes, among wich my own . A turn delay seems the least of reasonable delays. It's not easy to reform divisions and doctrines within a matter of days A what if scenario is easily enough made with the editor, if you want that ! 2. Problem is, then the game would depend too much on teh randoms of getting that tech or not. What about if the Industrial tech advance could only be one higher then your highest OTHER advance. Then you would have to spread it around a little, getting more normal results Marc
  3. I'm a nerd whenit comes to computers....or more a case perhaps of NOT being a nerd Anyway, can you mail me privatly to expalin how i get the future edition oging with this abandon loader software..i downloaded the loader and the wargame pack, but i still cannot run the game Marc
  4. This Is the problem: When I captured Paris, the previously liberated cities of Brest and Bordeaux reveted to French Control. This meant that british income went down, and Frances became 36. Netto that was an increase, but 36 is a useless total..can't do anything with it, while my british total dropped to low to buy a new corps each turn It means that liberating France was a bad move....And no plunder/momentum obnus either..no vichy or Free french forces arising.....just the change in points. rather a dissapointment, adn in fact, a possible end to my french campaign Marc
  5. 2 years???? Hardly that...Two turns, yes. But i found it worht it..my better Air fleets and cheaper production are worth a lot
  6. In A pBEM game i'm playing, i managed to liberate France, becasue my opponent was focussing heavily on conquering Russia. The effect of that was, that Britain now gets LESS economic points...and France gets a USELESS 36!!! Are there any benefits to conquering France at all???? NO plunder, Vichy is still neutral, and less points make it so that conquering France was actually the worst thing i could do??? Marc
  7. I'm not so sure...Subs did do some economic damage so dar in our last game..as for preventing them leaving french Harbors? How, stationig your fleet near the coast? right under the nose of my Airfleets..adn whenhunting the subs, you leave the norht sea open?...mmmhh. that invasion force for Sea lion might come in Handy yet Marc
  8. In Claes and my first game, the defence of France cost the Germans an Army, 2 Panzsergroups and a Corps.....France fell in the fall, but at a high price!! Marc
  9. No that Army won't stop those partisans...cause the partisans move around.....you'll need to build more then one....
  10. The problem is that you need to garrison Munich, venice, albania etc....there is a chance that if you do not, and your troops are moving to wards one part of Yugoslavia to kill of some partisans there, another partisan springs up on the ohter end of yugoslavia. You need too many full corps to defend agaisnt two half powered partisans. Either disallow partisans to leave the nation until they have a homebase, or allow the building of halfstrenght units. Now the axis have to build more full strenght Corps units then there are partisans to be safe. It's almost best to not conquer yugoslavia, but just kill of all it's units
  11. Partisans are TOO deadly inthe hands of a human opponent. When i conquered venice with them, my first reaction was that that NEVER could have happened in 1941. Perhaps give partisans the power to hurt cities outside their land by killinga few MMP's..but not occupying them. That should not be possible. As for receiving the beta to test the partisans, I think claes and me should be first in line Marc
  12. Partisans seem to effective currently. While playing the Demo with Claes, we came up with the following idea after a partisan took venice... 1) A partisan cannot leave it's home nation until it has liberated a home city 2) a partisan cannot grow above strenght 5 unless it has liberated a home city Also, i agree with the thread elsewhere that a carrier shouldn't be sunk when attacking, unless adjacent. Marc
  13. Besides that..germany having 2 subs, and france and Britain none is also stretching truth a bit..France had more subs then Germany in 1940!! Marc
