Hi Bobo.
I saw your post yesterday and responded, as I was CMBB-less as well. After I'd given up all hope, it finally came today. Always when you least expect it...
Hang in there, buddy.
Guy

LOL, you'll never guess what was waiting on my doorstep this evening.
Life never ceases to amaze me.
And someone is getting one hell of a Christmas present.

Had a stroke of genius this morning.
Since I'm reasonably sure that my copy was lost along with SWMBO's gift, I just ordered another one!
If I was a pessimist I'd say that ordering another copy virtually ensures that the one I pre-ordered will arrive today. If indeed it is lost, then I have a copy on the way as soon as possible, and if/when the original shows up I'll have one to give as a gift.
Dagnabbit, I'm tired of reading about how much fun everyone is having. Yet I cannot look away...
And the countdown starts anew!

I hear ya. Testify!!Originally posted by bobo:Greetings,
Since I am extremely bumming with no CMBB even
though others in the same metro area got it on
Monday, I thought I would start a thread for the
few of us in the USA who preodered and are
still waiting. Let me from ya! Maybe we can
channel some effeciency to the USPS before we
start harassing BFC.
Bobo
The USPS is not on the list of companies I want to do business with right now, for a couple of reasons.
Unfortunately, they're the only game in town.
Oh well, we did dodge the hurricane bullet here in Texas this week so I can't feel too cursed. Hope the rest of my Gulf Coast bretheren are faring ok.

Except SWMBO's present that the USPS tracking system shows was delivered on the 23rd (even though it wasn't) cost $450. Can't wait to hash this one out with them, the store, and the credit card folks...Originally posted by Vader's Jester:Don't feel bad. I'm in the same boat.
But when it comes to CMBB, I feel your pain.

#*&@. %#$. %/*. Guy is not a happy dude.
Not only am I still CMBB-less, but the USPS also says they delivered SWMBO’s birthday present on the 23rd, which they didn’t. I’m thinking I got the 2-for-1 losing packages special. @#*!!!
So now it’s her birthday. No present for her and no CMBB for me.
Will be a looooong night. Everyone please feel sorry for me.
Thank you.
Guy.

Foiled again. ARRRRRGH!
This is an outrage! It's a travesty!!
I demand answers! Where's the accountability?? I want vengeance!!
It's the single greatest injustice in the history of mankind!!!!!
What's that? It's not? Oh well, it is a bit annoying then.
Maybe tomorrow...

Just as well, I have homework to do tonight anyhoo. "But Guy," I hear you say, "you had all weekend to do this homework. Why did you put it off when you knew there was a good chance that CMBB would get there today?" Because, ya moron, I was playing CMBO all weekend. Sheesh.
And to top it off, my brother in Ohio for whom I ordered a gift copy at the same time as mine just emailed me a setup with message saying "Thanks for the game, hope you haven't played this scenario yet."
Mañana, mañana.

Aha! I've always had this issue and have been meaning to post about it, but I figured everyone would just think I'd been drinkin' again. I guess I'm not as crazy as I thought.
To me it looks like the soldiers are goose-
stepping around the battlefield.
Thanks for the info.

Oops, you're right, Hubert. Just wasn't being patient enough. It stops a short time after being minimized. I guess I'm just one of those instant gratification types.
Thanks for your help.

In his post announcing the v1.04 patch, the Great Bald One said:
When I have SC open, the theme music still plays constantly even when the game is minimized. Did this not make it into the patch, or am I doing something wrong? I like the music, but...- killed theme sound playback when SC window minimizedThanks,

Just to be clear, I agree. I also agree with several hundred other "it would be nice" ideas that I seen on this Forum, many of which did in fact get serious considearation for inclusion. And dozens were only officially ruled out in the last phases of development. There is just so much time, and in CMBB's case we spent about a year more than we had planned. There simply wasn't any more time.Originally posted by Battlefront.com:Guy,

Well, then, sign me up as another whiney BS-er whose main interest is laziness and convenience.
Would it have been nice to have a PBEM system where you view a turn and plot moves with every file? Yup.
Is it a big deal? Nope.
Am I in a position to judge whether this was more important than other potential inclusions, or whether it would have been easy for BTS to implement? Of course not.
But I agree that it would have been nice.

No no no, it takes fire to kill me off, my friend. If you and the rest of the villagers want to light some torches to do the job, may I suggest using one or more of your flaming Stuarts from our current battle.

Well, that implies that those of us who participated in the tournament but (ahem) did not advance were unsuccessful. The politically correct term, sir, is “CM-challenged”.Originally posted by Cpl Carrot:When I get some free time (read weekend) I will post them out to the successfull candidates

Hey! Why do you assume there's something wrong with the game? Maybe I'm just the best gosh darn SC player in (its 2-week) history and can shut down the blitzkrieg in no time flat?Originally posted by J Wagner:So the issues raised here begs the question; do you feel as if the game represents the true nature of German blitzkrieg tactics, especially from 39 to 41?
(Uh oh, I think I can feel some PBEM game set-up files arriving in my inbox...)
Seriously, I think it's awfully close to the blitzkrieg tactics.
