  1. For me it depends on the situation. If I am not expecting any enemy fire I will take the entire group and run across the open field that has to be crossed. If I am expecting enmey fire I will only send a few at a time while the others cover them. In your situation I would have them run as far as they can, then walk the rest, while getting more rested at the same time.
  2. I think it would hurt spotting outside of the arc because you are telling them to concentrate on one particular area and whatever they do spot outside of that arc would be seen with their peripheral vision.
  3. I would get closer so that they start throwing grenades. A grenade in an open turret in CM should work the same as in real life. It should kill most of the crew and set of the ammo in the tank. Good Luck
  4. when they introduced the dog they were trained to go after the sound of a tank but found out that they would go after their own tanks and were brought out of use.
  5. I played a scenario where I had 2 quad 20mm flaks, 2 37mm flaks and a 88mm flak. The 20s and 37s will engage aircraft but not the 88s because they are flying to low. I shot down two enemy aircraft with the 20s and 37s. If you dont have anti-air assests than there is not much you can do. you can spread out your infantry and tanks and put them in forests or areas with alot of trees and tell them to hide.
  6. Shermans did not fare well against german armor because german armour was superiour to the shermans especially the tigers and panthers. the sherman cannot penetrate the frontal armor of a tiger unless you hit a weak spot but the tiger can go through a sherman and out the other end. A good thing to remember when engaging german armor is to outnumber them and use your superior mobility to flank them. play as the germans when there are tigers involved and you will see why you are having difficulty playing as the americans.
  7. I recently played the operation sealion operation and need tips for the fifth battle that takes place at night. I thought I had it under control until after turn 10 when they came at me with fireflies. any help on defeating them would be appreciated.
  8. Try not to advance to fast or you could get cut in two. advance slowly and make sure you secure the areas you have taken before advancing. Make sure you have people providing cover fire for when you advance. use tanks and armoured cars to support your infantry.
  9. I need some good tactics to elimanate PIAT teams with minimal loses on my side. any help would be appreciated.
