We have a very active group of CM players at KG.
Many of us play on the GameSquad ladder, which is the successor to Warfare HQ (and SZO and XG).
-
If Battlefront plans to issue no more games using the CM x 1 engine, I wish that they would grant (sell) licenses to selected others so more fronts can be covered with the CMBB/CMAK versions of that engine.

Thanks Pat!

In light of the strength of the evidence and severity of the crime, I hope the offended player (your friend) reports the name/handle of the cheater in every possible CM related forum.Second way: Just yesterday a friend reported this to me. He was wondering why he was loosing 3 battles against the same enemy so badly. E.g. he lost 3 50mm PaK and 6 Panzerschrecks to conscript T-34s always with their first shots. Finally he found out that his enemy was able to "see" (in the PBEM file) when his tanks would hit or be hit (and when not), so he just let his machine compute the same PBEM file several times and sent back the one were he destroyed the AT gun. Unforunatly, his enemy made the mistake to (accidentally) sent 3 computed files of the same round via email to him... Well I guess he will only play TCP/IP for a while... -
Sad news. Prayers for a rapid return to health for Linda and for strength and healing for the entire family.

Thanks Pat--I was only 3 seconds from getting the last one, when CMMODS went out. Will try again in a bit.

New Newbie Player Needed!!
Per Palantir:
"We need another Newbie player to fill in for the "Seeing the Elephant" Tourney. This will be for the 2nd round for sure and possibly to backfill in the Rd1 scenario.
Check out the CM Tourney Sub-Forum for more info on the Tournament if interested."
If you qualify and are interest, or know someone who might be, check out the details here:

and through the links I posted above.

The Tournament has begun!
Clements & Lone Wolf Texan: Panantir needs your email addresses, if you still wish to play.

Kerry (aka Palantir) at SZO will make the call on the Tournament start date, but has indicated that it will be this week (the end of August). I will post here, when I know that exact start date.
With one fellow dropping out for real life reasons, there appears to be at least one slot still available. So go to the SZO thread I have linked above and sign up.

@ kawaiku: you can sign up for one of the many free web based email providers, such as Netscape (now owned by AOL) or Hotmail.
I use Netscape as a back-up for files both in Austin (where I have Road Runner) and Reno (where I have Charter). Of course I don't normally have a problem receiving and sending files from both, using Outlook or Outlook Express.

The new player count in the Tournament has just reached 21 on the eve of its start! Check it out here:

Isaac/Redbear, I see that you have found and posted on the sign-up page at SZO. Stay tuned; I'm sure that Kerry will put up a welcome post at SZO very soon.

We now have 18 players. Sometime between now and 8/31/06, to be decided by Kerry, the roster will close. See the curent line-up here:

Thanks Tracer.
Thought you may want to know that at least a couple of the flag BMPs could not be read. This includes one that is numbered 450 (the other with the same number is OK). The same story for 449a. I have not checked them all.

That's an unfortunate game bug that certainly can be taken advantage of by unscrupulous players, as well as being encountered when playing someone who don't know about it.
At KG we were playing a large MP game that is spread over three maps and this occurred. The game creator adjusted the reinforcements in the next battle to adjust for the units destroyed because of the "extra" bomb load.
