It's pretty easy to put all the mods of a particular "family" into one folder and then you can copy that folder into and out of the game's Z folder. (You need to create a folder called "Z" in the "Data" folder first if you have not already done that.)

You know you can check LOS from any waypoint? So just put waypoints where you are interested in and you can check LOS from any of them and delete em after.
But, yes, it's only really workable in WEGO, and often what you see from a waypoint isn't what you can shoot at when you actually get there...

You should check out WeBoB forums. We still play a lot of CM1 tournaments. The Birthday Bash (BB) ones are always on HUGE maps with a couple Battalions on each side(!) Something that is not practical with CM2.

Am 99% certain they did not have the technology for handheld cameras to sync with separate sound recorders back then. (Remember the clapperboard for the big incredibly heavy studio cameras?)

I'd guess, rather, that it's not the work of moments to dismount the thing and load yourself up with the ammo. So you can simulate it at force pick time by eliding the track and adding an LMG team.
I think the Brits get something similar in BN too; one of the MG-carrying Bren carriers has an MMG team that can fire from the vehicle or dismounted, from what I've read on here.
If the Brit MMG can be dismounted and remounted in seconds, then no reason why not the Hanomag MG. If this would be a more realistic depiction of how it was used...

Makes sense. Shame we can't do that in the game. Since we can acquire AT weapons etc, one would have hoped this would be possible. I guess the problem is that one can't mount it back.
However, IIRC in CMSF there were vehicular units that had a MG which dismounted with the crew and would be remounted into the vehicle when the crew remounted. (I think it was a Brit unit.)
If Hanomags were not used for inf support, the game really needs this feature to discourage unrealistic use of the vehicle.

It does raise the question of why did the Germans waste thousands of MG34's or 42's by mounting em on their 251 and 250 series vehicles when according to your research such a weapon was utterly ineffective and actually attempting to use em was suicidal.

That cameraman had a superb vantage point on the hill to film those PzIV's and 88's in action.
They are a bit blobby. At first I wondered if he had a poor quality telephoto lens or they had "blown up" a part of the frame to see the detail. But, I suspect that color film at that time was simply very grainy and the emulsion has leached.

I rather agree, they looked like 210's or 410's.
Great to see combat troops and real combat. Hope the images are useful for modders re uniforms etc.

I have read that the 7.92 ammo was scarce. But, ammo resupply dumps/trucks etc should have what the designer wants. The ammo may be scarce, but I just don't believe that where it was needed for an attack they didn't have enuff. (Otherwise, the soldiers woulda dumped the gun and used something else.)

+1 for some sort of resupply truck that a designer could fill with the DESIRED ammo. I haven't designed any CM2 scenarios, but it seems hard to locate some types of ammo for resupply in the generic trucks and halftracks - and some of us like large and long scenarios..

As Baneman said, it's USUALLY (90+%) that you want to shoot at what the 3rd ammo bearer can see, but the MG gunner can't.
It's horribly frustrating that the MG can't be automatically moved a few inches so that the gun can also "see" and more importantly shoot at the desired target. Calls for a "fudge" imo.
I appreciate that the height issues with AFV's etc makes their LOS/LOF problems a bit trickier.

Las Vegas (at least) has gun stores that stock a lot of automatic weapons that you can fire in their store ranges, including MP40's.

(While you're at it, perhaps you could enable MG's at least to automatically move so that the MG gunner can see and shoot rather than just the 3rd ammo bearer? Puhleeze...)

Since my primary degree and research is psychology and I was ico paying people obscene amounts of govt money to attempt to create a "realistic" AI, you have my sympathies, Phil.
Our conclusions were that one can fudge and fake this stuff to appear to be realistic altho' it was not based on much. "Game AI" may often consist of a half-dozen rules of thumb, or heuristics, that are just enough to give a good gameplay experience."
I hope you are you certain that you are not over-complicating things leading to even more problems than the ones you are attempting to solve?

I only had a problem with the "distinct" file. the other two were fine. But, thank you for redoing all 3.

As my father was Polish am always interested in Polish scenarios. But, it would be helpful if you said if it is H2H or vs AI.
