The only chance to take out the KV series in 1941, is hope that it strays near your Tank Hunter group. Other than that, start playing hide and go seek with you AFVs. Against the AI, I kept them busy by driving my AFVs around a clump of heavy wood. Stupid AI gets totally confused that way.
  2. Why are all you drones constantly using IE and complain about how Tom's site is ruining your life? Don't you know Bill Gates is trying to corner the market in Combat Mission Mods? if you don't download them from his site, you can't download anything. I use Opera, and never ever had a problem download from Tom's Site.

Join the rebellion, Bill Gates Sucks

or, you can trash IE. Download Opera, and be one of the happy people.

If you want multiple setup zones for a QB with a predefined map you can kindof do that by making different setup zones in the area where the units are placed by default. See the map "marsh madness QB" (at the scenario depot) for an example of how to do this if it's not clear.

Guess I could do that. but then I have to work for my entertainment.
  5. Checked the search and nothing came up, so...

I want a QB game, and when it asks for the map parameters, I click on the "Load from File" and open up the autosave file. The file happens to be a scenario map, with distinct setup locations for both offense and defense. Problem is, I'm stuck with setting up in only 1 (green color coded) setup zone, and so is the AI. So, of the 3 defensive positiion the AI can setup, it only able to setup in 1 place.

Kinda defeats the purpose of using a predefined map, I thought.

so, in the next patch, is it possible to reset the setup zone to what you would expect from a QB. Or better yet, allow for multiple setup zones.

  6. 1 right-click anywhere on your desktop, select Properties.

    2 select the Settings tab

    3 click the Advanced button

4 if you have an NVidia card, you should see a tab above the General tab. Mine says "GForce2 TI", select it

    5 click the "Addition Properties"

6 the very next dialog box you see should be the "3D Antialiasing Settings". select what you want and test it.

Note: CM is use whatever screen resolution you're using as your desktop resolution.

Total Victory, with no tank loss.

Use your PZIVs and HMGs to help secure the advancing inf to the Aviary (the left most flag). The AI has a tendency to try to reclaim the flag once lost, so get your men into positions to repel the attack.

On the right side, attack the middle flag, by sending in 1 team at the time to identify defensive positions. Once identified, call the arty to soften them up. Use the PZIIIs for support.

As for the T34s, engage them at long distance. Remember, you have better optics than they do, and PZIVs can penetrate T34s rather easily. PZIII can sneak up into Hull down position once the defenders in front of the centre flag are forced to retreat or kill. From the soft ground, you can hit and penetrate the T34s with ease.

  8. er...I just found this, by clicking on his name

    Eduardo Zacarias

Eduardo Zacarias has been playing video games since he learned how to crawl and pick up an Atari Pong paddle. Since then, he grew up playing video games and competing (and winning) various game tournaments in various arcades in Southern California. Dubbed “Nice Guy Eddie” by the loyal arcade fan groups in the neighborhood, Eduardo continues his ongoing love for games with the Xbox and PC. He is currently the Opinion Editor of the campus paper of his local university (CSUN) and lives off campus with his dog Sam. You may contact him at EduardoZac@gamezonemail.com

The idiot came from Arcade video game background. 'Nuff Said
  9. P5 stole all of what I have to complain about the article. So, I'll just say these...

Firstly, I remember reading some obscure review 2 years ago about this other great product CMBO. The review bashed it pretty harsely as well. After reading it though, I decided to click on the link and download the demo. My first experience of the game was pretty sad. I didn't know about the camera angles, so I was scratching my head going WTH?!?. Tried it again the next day, and found the hotkey menu, and was hooked on the game ever since.

Lastly, The problem I see with the review is in the way it portrays the game like it was meant for your mindly tank-rush crowd. This has the effect of turn some potential purchasers from trying out the game. I hope that BFC, has made a good profit from the base support that they would never bend to pleasing the mindless crowd, and turn out another C+C style game. Personally, I will buy everything under the sun from BFC...when I finally find a job.

    Great job, BFC!!!

It's maybe too easy the other way though.

most definitely too easy the other way around. Those Panthers and their optics are deadly accurate.
