The part I quoted is in the third paragraph of that interview, after the interviewer states "They delivered the Churchill later".

The Russians appeared to like the Valentine. Dmitry Loza in his memoirs on www.battlefield.ru said
Edit: He also said this about the Matilda. After 1943 we largely declined British tanks because they had significant deficiencies. In particular, they had 12-14 h.p. per ton of weight at a time when good tanks had 18-20 h.p. per ton. Of these three British tanks, the best was the Valentine produced in Canada. Its armor was streamlined but more importantly, it featured a long-barreled 57mm main gun.In general, the Matilda was an unbelievably worthless tank![ February 24, 2003, 05:21 PM: Message edited by: panzerwerfer42 ]

Theres plenty more than 2. They were left out because of time and disk space reasons.

That's most likely the loader pitching out empty shell casings. I've seen some pictures of Stugs with heaps of empty casings next to them while engaging long range targets. To be prepped for all around combat all the loader had to do was close the back hatch.

I've noticed this as well. The 251/21 never targets aircraft. It works quite well against ground targets though. 251/17 will fire at aircraft but not very effectively as already noted by others.

Anything with jager 43 or gebirgsjager 43 squads is basically an SMG unit. They have 2x rifle 7x SMG 1x LMG. The earliest a true SMG platoon shows up is the Grenadier '44S battalion in July '44. Each company has 1 SMG platoon. Volkgsgrenadiers show up the very next month.

The BA has thin enough armor that rifle bullets can punch through it at the right range.

MGs do jam more in the cold and extreme heat in CMBB.

I've seen a pillbox knock out message display "Night is Falling"

Thermite is extremely simple to make. Simply mix aluminum powder and rust powder. Being metallic it's obviously tricky to ignite. Usually a magnesium ribbon is required to ignite it. I've yet to try it but that's the common recipie for it.

Take a full can of soda and place on rock. Grab rifle. Point at can and shoot. Observe effects.

Shells certainly have been known to stick in armor. The weight imbalance thing doesn't sound very plausible though.
-
The 105 howitzer firing HE is perfectly capable of taking out the T-34, so it's higher powered cousin should certainly do the same.

I didn't know it was actually on the page. I thought it was just something someone said around here and was then added to the page.

I believe it's changed since i last looked.....

How about a bare dirt tile? It might not exactly be vital to the game, but it could help make some maps look a little better. I don't think it's realistic to see all open terrain covered in knee high grass.

The 2nd pic posted does somewhat resemble Adolf Galland. If it is Galland then it would be possible the fat guy looking at the camera in the background could be Goering.

It means FIRE.Originally posted by Gaylord Focker:While targeting a hapless T-34 with a 105mm Howitzer, i noticed that it said somethign like 61% chance to hit, then in parenthesis, boresited.
Just wondering what it means.

Some vehicles it's quite variable. The King Tiger for example had a hydraulic traverse that varied with the RPMs of the engine. At the maximum allowable 3000 RPM it apparently was capable of 360 degree traverse in under 10 seconds. At 2000 RPM it could do it in 19 seconds. This doesn't really match the measurements Brightblade took at all.

Yep, a Zis-3.Originally posted by JasonC:And he is obviously speaking of a towed gun, not anything in an AFV...

I've only seen one reference to russian cannister at all.
This is from the memoirs of Evgenii Monyushko on the Russian battlefield site.. Out of thirty cases of ammunition, only two were with subcaliber shells, eight - armor piercing, and the rest - fragmentation/high explosive grenades. There was also a certain quantity of grape-shot, for self-defense against infanty, which gave us a feeling of confidence, but, fortunately, I never had to fire it. (For those unfamiliar with artillery I have to explain that, if a medium machine gun, when beating back an attack, fires practically around 250 rounds per minute, a single gun, firing grape-shot, can create a density 25-50 times greater, and a four gun battery - 100-200 times; moreover, the bullets spread evenly across the front, not leaving any dead ground. Attacking such battery is a hopeless proposition.) -
I dont know why but this always happens. If you want to keep the TRPs the designer has to add them as reinforcements for each new battle.

The 4200 is still a really good card. Gainward 4200s overclock to near 4600 levels very easily. Stay away from any of the MX series.
