I'll venture a guess that this is the first "wargame" that is aimed at the BF1942-crowd, i.e. dumbed down a bit but with lots of eye-candy for the AD/HD-cases

Did such re-crewing of enemy artillery really happen on that scale? Seems like every second picture was about assaulting and turning the guns 180degrees and blasting away.

Unfortunately my opinion echoes yours completely. The more I hear about all the "realistic" features the less I expect of the game. Its not very promising yet. Remembering all the hype with T-72 and what a huge let-down that was I can see it all coming again... Exactly the same sales-speach from Matt at that time...

But not many infantry-battles in towns and cities I take it? Any plans/realistic expectations to get infantry in buildings? Its a huge bite out of the realism-apple for me at least.

I have nothing but respect for the IDF. Its just the guys pulling the strings and laughing into their Kippots that makes me furious. I still dont see a difference between Hassan Nasrallah and Ehud Olmert and their closest buddies. The Israeli are making fools of the rest of the western world, and in a spectacularily arrogant way. Someone should give Olmert a good spanking.
