  1. Spook, the Porsche factory museum is in Stuttgart, and it's great. Last year I travelled to Stuttgart specifically for the auto museums. The Daimler Benz museum is a must see. It contains a vast number of significant road cars, and some of the most important racecars in the world. You'll also see a few WWII era aero engines (including a prototype LSR car powered by DB601's).

CM runs fast and looks awesome (19in. monitor). I've got all this hardware because I'm a real Grand Prix Legends fanatic. However, my times have suffered because of all the time I spend on CM. Hope this helps. ------------------ Your Most Humble, Obedient Servant, Jimmy

  4. I think the time scale is a problem. How much cover can you dig out of the earth in a couple of minutes? A proper foxhole or slit-trench is a significant undertaking. I dug a lot of holes at Benning and Bragg. You can scrape out something in a short period, but it wouldn't be a real foxhole.

  6. In the QBs I usually give the attacker a +25% handicap (sometimes +50%). Because, frankly, it gives me more stuff to destroy. When I attack, usually as the allies, I don't handicap at all. Maybe as I get better I will. ------------------ Your Most Humble, Obedient Servant, Jimmy
  7. If I target an HMG to zone fire between inf. separated from one another by 10-30m, will it have any suppresive effect? How large is the beaten area of the MGs in the game? The reason I ask is, I constantly find myself needing to choose between targeting a unit and area fire. It sure seems like a HMG firing into a tree line at 200m should suppress inf. over a fairly large frontage. I hope I expressed myself clearly. ------------------ Your Most Humble, Obedient Servant, Jimmy
  8. I had that happen on the first turn of a PBEM game once. JpzIV, hull down, starts to hunt up a slope from hull-down and, "grrrunch", immobilized. Very disconcerting. Very realistic. ------------------ Your Most Humble, Obedient Servant, Jimmy
  9. I generally play PBEM games as 1000-1500 pt. QBs. Lately they have degenerated into Jumbo Sherman v King Tiger battles. As this is somewhat ahistorical, are there any published rules to help players keep the battles from becoming too "gamey"? ------------------ Your Most Humble, Obedient Servant, Jimmy
