  1. Maybe I am off on this but I thought the point system was designed to make PBEM games balanced and didn't have anything to do with historical values, i.e. the Allies had 4 Sherman for every Tiger but Tigers don't cost 4 times as much as a Sherman in CM. Doesn't this change contradict the design of the point system forcing people to play QBs in a more historical way? I don't know about everyone else but I don't think a 50mm Puma or a 75mm HT is close to a Sherman. Just my opinion.
  2. Does anyone know why BTS decided to give the Allies such a large point advantage when buying Armor for QB Meeting Engagents? If you look at 1.05 the Allies and Axis get to spend an equal number of points for Armor, but under 1.1B22 the Allies have a 3 to 2 advantage. In a 3000 point battle that translates to 900 points for Allies and only 600 for the Axis. Seems like a pretty big change.
  3. It looks like when you set up a Meeting Engagement - Combined Arms with the Beta Patch the Allies are allowed to spend more of their points on Armor and Artillery than the Axis, does anyone know why this is? Is it to reflect the historical fact that the Allies had more tanks and Artillery than the Axis?
  4. You can download the Excel CM Unit Database and print it out, a little hard on the eyes but it is better than nothing, I think it is on the ASL Maps for Combat Mission web site, I am not sure what the address is but it is on the CM Web Ring.
  5. Thanks everyone for all the opinions, sounds like the best thing to do is to ask the person you are playing if they prefer a more historical mix of forces in Quick Battles or anything goes, after all we are all doing this for fun. Does playing PBEM Games remind anyone else of being married? You have to respect the other persons opinion or they won't play with you any more.
  6. What is the feeling on this, is it gamey to pick Airborne Infantry and Tanks in a QB without telling your opponent. Or is mixing different types of units ok? The reason I ask is because I love some of the British Tanks but hate the firepower of their Infantry, even with the organic mortar. Thanks Pvt.Tom
