I've just downloaded and installed both of these graphic mods (about 13 + 17 Mb), but they don't seem to look any different! certainly not as cool as they do in the screenshots. And is there any snow on the ground? thanks

I've just installed the game for the first time, I opted for the full instalation ,the game loads up to the initial interface and tells me i am using the game installed to my drive rather than that on the disk. I click ok then I crash to desktop. I'm using a Tnt2 with Dx 7. Can Anybody help?Thanks.

Axis, It was a Czech (sp?) company who made hidden and dangerous. I visited alot of these ex-communist eastern european countries during the summer and they seem to have a fascination with nazi regalia. They also have a big problem with neo-nazism. Outside Auschwitz scum where selling nazi regalia. Don't get me wrong, I'm also fascinated with this era in history and I have a shelve full of books on the subject. However, I would say that its easy for people to get the wrong idea, and in your case, unless you want the attention of some unsavory scum, I'd make your frontpage more indicative of the common soldier, ie: battle hardened old hare.

Hi there. As I've just sent for this game, could anybody out there tell me what kind of system is needed to run this game at full tilt with all them extremely cool looking high resolution skins etc that are out there? I've got a P111 600 with Riva TNT2, would that cope? Thanks!

Anybody ever seen 'Come and see'? A Belorussian movie thats very scary. BTW, any of you Aussies remember a series called 'Anzacs' I loved it when I was a kid, its set during WW1 and seemed pretty good at the time.

Anybody obssessed enough to play these games to start with doesn't care whether its early war, overlord, eastern front, Italian campaign, Pacific war etc. If your interested in ETO, I'm sure your also interested in the pacific war. If the games created to a high standard, people will play it, and love it.

Or a scenario concerning the fabled 'National Redoubt' in Munich....

A modelled 'Maus' tank would be great...

Thanks for your replies. Well, I've just taken the plunge and ordered the game - I expect it in the UK in about a fortnight. Unfortunately I cant download the demo on this bandwidth but I'm sure I'll not be disappointed. All you guys can't be wrong!

I'm an absolute beginner to this type of game, but it sounds so amazing ( I've read lots of web reviews ) and PC gamer (UK) who just rated it 89% and said its the best out there, that I feel I must take the plunge. I'm a big fan of Close Combat although I recognise its problems. I've read constantly about military history all my life and if what I've read is true Combat Mission is going to be the best way of 'living' it. Thing is will I be able to make this transition or will I just be blown away by the complexity (I've never played a turn based wargame in my life) Thanks.
