  1. if you are using hi res grass you can install the low res set to get rid of the big black line......if you are displaying low res grass you are unable to fix....this is where you decide what is more important...your grid or that big black line that extends to the horizon....sorry not much i can do for the low res crowd ------------------ MAKE IT SHORT AND SWEET THEN GET THE F#$K OUT

  3. my grass isnt buggy...you just dont understand how the grass tiles work in cm....what you are trying to do is use the grass that is displayed on lower end graphics cards and slide them in to the hi res slots...you have to renumber them to do this....or shrink the current ones ------------------ MAKE IT SHORT AND SWEET THEN GET THE F#$K OUT

  5. i have made a gridded grass and it is low res for no slowdowns its a dark blue grid that shows elevation by displaying dark blue for low areas and lighter blue for higher areas...both sets are the same size so you can install both and not have to worry about matching the horizon...any way....if there is enough interest in this mod ill send it to matt and youll have too bug him to post it... ------------------ MAKE IT SHORT AND SWEET THEN GET THE F#$K OUT

  14. gunny bunny... if u had any clue how a game is developed and designed....then u would realize that cm is master piece of gaming know how.......your avg. quack models(and i spelled it wrong on purpose}are visualy impressive, as along with some other first person games outthere today buuuuuuuuuuuuuuutttt!...this is where u need to pay close attention.if u know any thing about a 3d game u know that polygons are used to make the models of the game....know too many polygons can slow even the fastest g force cards to a halt...the bitmaps in cm also play a part in bogging down your card. so a happy balance must be struck to display the vast amount of units that are regularly rendered in cm.another thing to take in to account is the broadest possable customer base is bts's market,now sure they could make the models and grahpics way more detaied but you would need 3 of nividias latest cards to run it and the average person isnt using the latests cards all the time.......know sit down and think about it...have u ever played a first person game and seen the amount of units that are displayed in combat mission on screen ...uuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh no....cause their games trade of the amount of models in game for the eye candy that u see.....its easy to rifle off critisim these days especially lately on the boards...before u say the grapics arnt up to your standards ponder what it takes to make a game of this size and scale in 3d. p.s. dont start a flame session with me cause i wont play! ------------------ MAKE IT SHORT AND SWEET THEN GET THE F#$K OUT
  15. some thing that every one is forgeting regarding infantry chasing tanks ; they are hell of alot faster than a infantry squad....and what would probably happen is that the tank would keep moving untill it broke contact and have your squad of troops running all over the friggin map......like dog chasing a car.. or even better,this feature addition could be used to bait your troops and mow em down.... i think in the end it would prove less helpful to have this command..if u really think about it ------------------ MAKE IT SHORT AND SWEET THEN GET THE F#$K OUT

  22. well seeing i used actual pictures to reference each uniform i would have to say they are historical to a certain degree more then most uni mods imo....but like any thing , i could be wrong or the pics i used could be wrong..
  23. guys my reasoning behind grass's lack of elevation is that grass doesnt change color with elevation...or if it does it slightly...color differene to show hight ...imo....!!! is a purely a tactical feature ....thats my two cents..........and im working on a new grass as we speak...im gonna chase the holy grail of grass mods till im happy with the look and feel of it...any way im rambling on like a fool so ill end this. ------------------ MAKE IT SHORT AND SWEET THEN GET THE F#$K OUT
