  1. "In my experience having an FO in CC does usually make for longer delays, not shorter ones as the commanding units experience levels are imposed on the FO."

I am unsure if this is true.

However a crack FO, NOT in c & c, fires faster than a regular FO in c&c 2 stars commander.

A regular FO is greatly helped by having stars.

Buying elite, crack, or even veteran arty is a serious gamble unlikely to pay off.

  2. "Does having an arty spotter in command of a HQ with Combat bonuses make for a tighter barrage or one with more losses by the enemy?"

No, not for off board artillery.

If an arty spotter is NOT in C&C, the time to

target is very adversly affected. A 2 min target

time will most the time start after 4 minutes.

For on board, indirect fire, the units will hitter tighter and faster, which will make more casutlies.

  3. It's more than LOS/No LOS.

A spotter not in command control often takes

TWICE as long as the stated time to fire.

If he is moving, the same is true.

Even in command control, a spotter often takes

up to 100% extra time to actual firing. The

key is to have those extra stars on the commander.

Even with a 2 star commander, I see a 50% drift in actual time to fire. Sometimes a -50% drift too smile.gif .

  4. I dont know if this would help CMBB along at all, but its worth a shot...

I like checking the name of my HQ units/squad leaders. CMBO has an impressive array. I imagine CMBB would need an even more impressive array.

It sure would be cool to have a fitting name that meant something to you, while in game.

    my suggestions for names are

    Commissar Dotsky

From A/SL 8 -2? political officer. Many happy memories

    Lt Stahler

From A/SL 9 -2? Leader, many happy memories

    Col Klink,Sgt Schultz, HAHAHHA

    Tito

    Yugoslavian partizan

    Ceausescu

Who wouldn't want to see this bastard 'Eliminated'(romania)

    more?

Next turn, one player is very surprised as (respectively) the "blown up" tank magically re-appears and causes havoc, or the tank suddenly appears as a lifeless hulk on the battlefield.

You didnt by chance NOT have a password for this game?

If so your opponent could have redone the tturn, thereby getting differetn results.

  6. In a recent game I played, my opponent moved a tank thru a dead HMC. The tank and dead hmc were not in LOS to me. I knew the tank was there

because i saw the dead hmc inexplicably moving.

It was the tank pushing the hmc out of its way.

Not only did I "spot" a previously unknown tank, but I got some good intel on direction tank was going.
