Having just had a stinking jeep with .50 take out my 251/1 at about 70m when the HT started shooting first irks me to no end! Now how do we teach these idiots how to shoot?!?!?! (I really hate that damn .50)but I do love the game!

I have had british Inf platoons force Germans to abandon HT at close range (less than 50m). I am attmpting to close assualt a Tiger in another game (using engineers), outcome yet to be determined!

Has anyone else noticed that the date of all the moded files is 01/01/2032? Or is this on my computer only? They do look pretty though.

Removed ATI Rage 128 (16Mb) and put Matrox 8Mb card back in. Back at 1024 x 768 resolution and can play multiple games without locking up. Seems CM does not play well with ATI cards. A shame cause I liked the 16mb card but prefer to have CM! Maybe my "next" computer can have one of those fancy 32Mb or 64Mb graphics cards! <G>

Current screen resolution 1024 x 768, and thats what it (CM) originally installed as. Plug & Play Monitor was defined, but I removed and will try a re-bot. Thanks, will let you know.

Help! I love CM, been playing great! Was using an Matrox 8Mb video card, running 1024x768 just lovely. Upgraded to an ATI Rage 128 16Mb no when I run CM it wants to go to 640 x 480 (ugly!). I have tried to del the pref file and re-run but everytime it starts at 640x480 and if you say no, then says it cant load 3d. Running DirectX 7a with latest ATI drivers. Help Please!?!?!?

I don't mind RTS as long it has a pause button. Just got AOE II Expansion. Its nice to pause once in awhile, well every 5-10 secs for me. (and I'm sure your on-line opponnet wants to pause every 5-10 seconds too). Having played CC and CM, CC is nice online against a human for short (small) battles. As long as the phone doesnt ring, no one knocks on the front door, none of the kids (or grandkids) are crying/fighting/screaming or otherwise interrupting my game. WEGO and turn based pbem is better when I can play when I have time and can stop when ever I have too and come back in 5 or 10 minutes or even a day or two later. (ok two days waiting for a CM pbem file to return is streching it~ <G>)

Fog of war should be Fog of War! There is always more going on then what the crew of a single tank know about. I like the one suggestion, make "Full Fog of War" an option during game setup, if chosen, then detailed hit messages are dis-abled. My 2 cents.

Hi all. I am an average CM player (is there such a thing?) Located on the USA east Coast (GMT -5). Good for 1 or more turns a day. Can be reached at djarnold@home.com. Prefer Germans, but seem to win more as Amis! <G> Currently only one PBEM game going so I have room to grow.... ------------------ I have been assimulated!

I have found that version 1.03 will not display 1.04 or 1.05 created scenarios. You can copy them to the \scenario directory, but when the game is started, they do not show up. I have renamed my version 1.03 exe to be named CM103.exe and have version 1.05 as "Combat Mission.exe", this allows me to play version 1.05 while maintaining the ability to finish my 1.03 pbem games.
