Title: Northheim Type: Advance, Allied attack Date: April 5, 1945 Location: Germany, in and around Northheim Weather: Clear Length: 6 Battles: 20 turns each As the 3rd Armored Division approached the Harz mountains it had become stretched out,as was typical of such operations. As it bypassed pockets of resistance, gaps would occur in the lines. Whenever this happened, the Germans would attempt to block the main roads again by infiltrating across the advancing columns, and setup strong defensive positions in the hopes of upsetting the Allied time and supply lines. Combat Command Bravo (CCB) of the 3rd Armored, after a considerable firefight, had managed to build a bridgehead across the Weser river. They managed to make multiple crossings and advanced rapidly eastward towards Northheim. It was on this strech between the Weser river and Northheim that the 3rd Armored Divisions only Super T26 Pershing finally saw action. Some of the German units that had fallen back from CCB's bridgehead managed to setup a few isolated strongpoints along CCB's route. **NOTE** This operation should be played from the Allied perspective first. The weather has been set to clear, but if you get fog, please restart until you get clear weather for maximum enjoyment. Please set the units to "default setup".

Pondscum...it looks like you use Gunslingers terrain? Personally, I find his to be the best IMO, and is what I use. You guys fighting in the Railyard map should have the double railroad tracks mod...it really adds to the overall flavor. You know its funny...the Railyard is an old school first AKoTM map and no-one liked it then! (or at least they all complained also..hehe) Why is that? Is it because it is a large map? My trip to Rotterdamn inspired it. So Gyrene, I am assuming you recieved labappel's reply? Make sure you push him to get done by the due date and do not hesitate to ask me for help if needed. Keep the updates comin' guys.

That's the spirit Pondscum! The rest of you should take note of Pondscum's manly sitrep...unabashedly revealing 2 HMG teams providing enfilade fire on an approacing colum of troops. Yep...exactly what happended in Real Life . The German counterattack was stopped and forced on the defensive. Although, granted I made the scenario, it is very possible to get an Axis total victory. Just remember...strength in numbers...slow is fast. The Germans almost to the very end of the Operation, greatly outnumber the Allies. Use that to your advantage.

Ok guys, I am here at work to send out the battles. My damn PC is Fu(ked! Even after Win reinstall I am getting fatal execptions all over the place. Time for F-disk, etc... Anyway, I should have them out shortly.

It always is for Recon units...but it is better for them to find the stongpoints than to have the main body find them. :eek:

Hey guys, I have heard from: Treeburst155 mPisi Senor Beef Pondscum 2 lazy boys are not done yet...Labappel won't be able to pick until they are...Texas Toast is gone until who knows when... What a clusterfu(k eh? Oh well...I guess we wait some more. In the mean time, I have just completed playtesting and fine tuning a new operation and am wondering if any of you would like to try it out? It is Historical and is called, Counterattack at Sarrebourg. Let me know. Out.
