yeah...i'm not sure if it ever worked in that game "Tribes"...i think it does, but u can go online in certain type matches and the opponant can see ur custom skin whether he has it on his puter or not...its the way of the future i think. -

i get that too...sometimes smoke landing for 4-5 turns (landing...not lasting -

One thing to remember...i think superior tactics beat superior armour Its <6hp per ton power ratio will just mean i will have a 400 marshmallow/tank rather than the usual 200/Sherman my Axis guys usually get when i flank the Sherm on 2 sides hehe -

thanks...i feel better lol...took a lotta detail work! Seems to blend in alot better ingame too...try some PBEM's and sit hidin in the trees to see if it works hehe -

Super...i understand what ur saying...but ur assuming there's a continual resupply of the allied side and not the axis.....to be fair i think in quickbattles u gotta assume things are even..as defender, i have a better positional advantage but the attackers are given 25% more spending points to attack so more or less, we can saaume that's even. The only way the allies would ever get the town would be another battle with the allies having complete fresh troops and NONE for the axis hehe.....to me..that's an unbalanced assumption I emphisize the word "sometimes" in my topic...i see no real better way to handle the win/lose situ cept mabey a slight increase in the points alotted for troops killed. I've gotten the same results with the allies loosing 75% of their troops, 8 vehicles, and 5 mortars while i lost mabey 25% troops, and 2 vehicles and mabey a wood bunker (this loss was a morale boost for my troops carrying marshmallowheimers).... ps..yeah..btw...the allies won a flag like way in the corner...but they were gonna be toast with my 6 tanks left and an inf gun...if only i had more turns hehe [This message has been edited by Fox (edited 08-20-2000).] -

improved allied weathered tank bmps

If yall can figure out which bmp's refer to the Tiger....i'll get goin on it...i've made custom skins for Janes FA18, Tribes, Janes ww2, MSCFS etc etc -
Last nite...i couldn't believe my eyes...one of my machine gunners was routed and was running away...and he started limping!..then i here "Mien Bein, Mein Bein!" (my leg, my leg!...i know i did't imagine it cuz i noticed the limp milleseconds BEFORE he started limping...i wouldn't be suprised if a one man team did fly thru the air a little after an explosion after what i saw IMHO. Goodjob CM folks

The Computer AI still cheats like a basta%d tho..my tanks emerge from a tree line and suddenly the shermans open up smoke in my exact line of fire hehe.....also..the computer AI sure likes to smoke...smokes like a fiend. Every quick battle i do looks like downtown London on a foggy day at some point in the match hehe..welp...at least its to no avail...i beat the poor puter 100% of the time now -
I love it when these freakin warez guys say they are fighting a corporate evil.....what a crapload of BS...be a man/woman and just admit your friggin greedy and are too lame to guy a great game that's relatively bug free...what did the CM guys do to u?? They released a game that is SUPERB enuf for u to steal it and was playable right out of the box...your just lowlife thieves along with ur hacker buddies that destroy sites....man...i hope what comes around goes around...i don't think it often does but just know this..we consider you lowlife dishonest leeches as i'm sure this behavior extends in ur treatment of other people. Plain and simple, most of the folks on this forum are just plain better people than you hackers and thieves so save your corporate evil argument for your own delusional self justifying world. mabey i need to completely reinstall the game cuz it ignores tanks for infantry many yards away (beyond bazooka range) (i was axis)...i tried several scenarios....it will ALWAYS favor any walking target over any tank so i'll try the reinstall.....wish me luck...good to hear u guys aren't having this so its in my puter only *whew* Feel free to download "Normandy!" scenario...complete with a beach and some great atmoshere....vote favorably for it at the site if u like it...i need to get its ratings up to increase downloads http://combathq.thegamers.net/depot.html .a good source for custom scenarios and new terrain textures and stuff -
My tanks ignore other tanks pretty much 100% of the time now in favor of hitting infantry with main gun....i just played a game and lost 2 tigers cuz they wanted that 1 HQ guy rather than the single sherman firing at will..it also seems that the AI doesn't play by the "we go" rules....everytime i play..the AI reacts to my moves..ie...i decide in turn 2 to move out of the trees and attack the Sherman...how lucky for the AI to know i am going to do this 100% of the time, take a shot before i can take one, fire smoke and retreat behind trees . Still..best combat game i ever played tho..keep up the excellent work Battlefront guys/gals!

I read somewhere in the manual that once a unit places an ambush marker...other units can target THAT marker when hidden and have LOS and will "join in the attack" when tripped...try that

yeah..i had that happen too..i just assume..u needed to make it to the flag for whatever reason...perhaps u absolutely needed to get there to relieve some troops bunkered up or whatever...i've also completely decimated the German forces..say 96 troops, 16 vehicles 4 guns killed..vs my 36/4/1 killed and still was a draw...i guess its really important to pay attention to the objectives. It must be hard to coordinate scoring so i'll just go with it
