I tried it with CMBB and CMAK, and it unfortunately does not work.

Pretty much what I was thinking too.Originally posted by Lars:Er, stalking buffalo in Michigan? Where? Right next to the corn crib?

There was one for CMBO (see link below). But it appears noone has made one for CMBB or CMAK.

Yeah... very similar in profile. I expect even more so at night using thermal imaging (which, IIRC, is when most of the friendly fire incidents have happened in the past conflicts).Originally posted by sgtgoody (esq):Target BRDM

This one...

Allows you to play the movie files consequently at a later time. Great for going back and remembering the game.

For lack of a better spot to post this question
Does anyone know if a version(s) of the CM Movie Player program has/had ever been made for CMBB or CMAK?

US Troops also used M10's in an indirect role in NW Europe quite often.

Any program that will modify bmp files. MS Paint, Photoshop, etc.Originally posted by mav1:What programme do you need to edit in combat mission. I have no idea about modding

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but am having the same problem, and just want to clarify...Originally posted by Schrullenhaft:This may be an issue of what IP addresses you're giving each other. You can NOT give out IP addresses of 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x to each other since these are non-routable 'private' IP addresses. You'll need to give each other the router's external IP address (which may require you to use the router's web configuration page to recall it). You can also use a website like What's My IP Address to report your IP.
If CM gives a 192.168.x.x IP as the one to connect to, will it still connect if you give your opponent the "correct" IP? Or do you have to go into the Internet option and manually change the IP? (I'm using XP Pro btw).
All three games give the same 192.168.x.x IP address for me as the only option.

Since the penguins don't have enough brain cells left for long term memory or much else, I'll help out by telling you the Alaskan fisherman was 109 Gustav. He must have fallen overboard a few years ago.Originally posted by Dave H:
quote:
Originally posted by Ellros:

Yes, I have returned from a long absence, to find the Cess is still going as strong as ever. Unfortunately, I find David is no longer present to give me a typical beating.Oh my GAWD ... it's not bad enough we have to have an Ohioan hanging around, now we get to hear from NEBRASKA!As for the crab... I was thinking of someone else actually. The name still escapes me, but he'd head to Alaska every year to hire on one of them boats.

If it became blatantly obvious that there are terrorist training camps or such being set up in Somalia, I have no doubt that the US would either send in air/cruise-missile strikes against them, or send in strike forces of some sort to eliminate them on the ground and take prisoners.
However, I really doubt we'd go back into Somalia for a long-term occupation (a la Iraq).

Very much so. This site has several pics of day and night firing by an Abrams, and it's qite noticable.Originally posted by Panther Commander:As you alluded to, those were the old 105's and I would imagine that the new 120's make an even brighter signature.

Pretty conclusive evidence points to Wittmann having been killed by Trooper Joe Eakins, gunner of a Firefly of the 1st Northhamptonshire Yeomanry, 33rd Armoured Brigade.Pair of Canadian Fireflies hiding in Gaumesnil. Most of the confusion comes from the fact that no one actually knew positively where his tank was destroyed until about ten years ago. Since then they have found his crew where German records said they should be.
The only British/Canadian unit whose records match that time and place is the Northamptonshire Yeomanry. This regiment destroyed a number of Tiger tanks in the right place and at the right time.
We'll never know 100% positively, absolutely that it was Eakins, but I think we can get 90% sure at the very least

With the slight exception that the CH53 is getting awfully long in the tooth. They are starting to show their age with metal fatigue and spare parts problems.Originally posted by Peter Cairns:[QB] Abbot,
I'll give you the faster longer range, but aprt from that everything else you have listed can be done by a CH53,

Interesting... That's not where mine went... Mine wanted to install to C:/Battlefront/Combat Mission Afrika Korps. At least I'm pretty sure that's where it was going before I changed it to where I wanted it.Originally posted by Sirocco:Wherever you want it to.

After a long absence, it's a pleasure to know the Cesspool is still as rank as ever <sniffles>. It's good to be home.

Way, way too soon for any info to be posted here on the site (this is the BTS site after all). Do a few searches for CM2 or under new engine and you will get a whole host of requests and ideas.

Since the models are hard-coded, it is doubtful, as BFC has said before they will not release the source code.Originally posted by panzermartin:Thank you Nollof!
I wonder if it is possible for 3rd party 3D modelers to contribute their work in CMBB, like it's being done with the IL-2 sturmovik and its community.
I guess this would help to have even the less known vehicles modelled correctly in game.I dont
have a clue though if this can be done easily
with CM's engine.

One thing I think the majority of us do not want is an FPS version of CM. Taking control of an individual tank or soldier with that degree of detail has never been part of CM.

I have noticed that all of the CM games do tend to make the computer put out more heat than any other games I play. I have not had any problems, but it is soemthng I've noticed. About a 4-5 degree F difference between CM and others.
I am guessing it has to do with the amount of bmp files the games uses?
