I noticed on my last trip there that they were sadly lacking in this regard. I did my best to spread the word. However, to their credit, they were well informed on the many possible accents that a spritz of the human stuff could provide. They even handed out flyers. Next time I think I'll bring some of my own flyers. Perhaps even a atomizer for free samples. Give something back, that's my motto. [ August 07, 2003, 11:55 AM: Message edited by: Lars ]

Lesson learned: Choose own forces in QB!
Lars replied to Sgt Bonehead's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Try medium woods, hills, village, summer time frame, day, good weather, etc. and then let the computer pick the forces . You should get at least a halfway decent shot at a good game that way. Play around with the random settings a bit till you find what works best for you. Remember, the computer can make some pretty screwy picks for itself too. -
Heh, did more than that. Took a look in the cockpit too. The nice thing about the Oshkosh airshow is you can get about as close to the planes as Boo has to get to his monitor in order to move his lips along with the little, flickering letters. And if you sweet talk the owner, you can climb inside. They're usually happy to show off. I've even gotten offers of a flight home that way. But watch out for somebody on the flight line starting up a engine when you're not watching. Not you Boo, you could use a prop in the head... SSN Hint Of The Day: If you do something nice, make sure everyone knows about it. Now sod off.

Holds hand up. Yep, I did it. Thank Berli my cousin has a hot tub. Oooh, my aching knees.... Very cool, saw FIVE tri-motors in the air at the same time. Three were Fords, one a Stinson, and the last was the Ju-52 in the appropriate Nazi regalia. Also saw a Sikorsky S-29 and a S-38 flying boat in the air together. There's a flight nobody has seen in the last 70 years. Oh, and they flew a IL-16 Rata for you WWII flight sim freaks {and you know who you are...} And I took a very nice flight in my cousin's 1946 Aeronca Champ. Great evening for flying, the air was perfectly calm. Almost took out two sandhill cranes on the takeoff though. And the cousin is a game warden, sheesh. Of couse, there would have been nobody in the county to arrest us, hmmm... Turns out tonight. SSN Hint Of The Day: Always take the last cup and never, ever make coffee. Now sod off.

Two Questions (Issues) with FO's

Heh, there's a good point. I think we can live with a little abstraction on this issue, eh? -
