  1. I'm surprised to hear I'm not the only one who prefers smaller battles. But then again, I'm part of the kids-n-jobs crowd, so I can definitely relate to the time pressures. I really like battles that are 20 turns or less on defense, 30 or so on offense. I tend to be a very deliberate player, which kinda bites me in the a$$ on offense unless it's a long scenario.
  2. Your supervisor at work spotted the error? In other words, you get to mod at work? Are you guys hiring? Sgt. Bonehead
  3. Just tried my first QB tonight (usually play pre-built scenarios) and discovered what happens when you let the generator pick your force disposition. Wound up attacking with two companies of mostly Green Pioneers (huh?) and a single Conscript AC across a large expanse of open steppe against T-34's supported by infantry. I *knew* I was doomed as soon as I heard the first main gun round fired in my direction on turn 1, but tried to stick it out ... hopeless situation. I had nothing at all to counter the armor with, and noplace to hide. Ugh. Anyway, what do you guys leave as Random, and what do you select, when setting up a QB? Just curious how I can cut down on the "you gotta be kidding" factor without taking the spontaneity out.
  4. Forgot to specify: I'm running CMBB 1.03. I don't remember having this problem on 1.01.
  5. I've recently started playing CMBB again after being away for quite a while, and am having some graphical issues that make the AAR unreadable. When the scenario ends, I get one of several graphical behaviors. Rarely, but once in a while, the AAR screen displays normally. More often, I get the AAR screen with no text in the fields, so it's impossible to tell how I did. Once in a while, I get the AAR info overlaid over the main interface window, instead of switching to the AAR screen. My specs: Athlon XP1800+ on Azza mainboard (don't recall board model right now), running Windows XP Radeon 8500 running Omega 2.4.60 drivers (default Catalysts are garbage imho) 512 MB PC2700 Anybody got any ideas? I'd love to actually be able to see what my score was! I'm sure it's a video driver issue of some kind, so I'm really hoping for a workaround instead of having to switch back to the default Catalyst drivers, as I get much better performance with the Omega modded drivers in most things.
