  1. I think the M3A1 is at a disadvantage because after it buttons up and with no cupola its going to be hard to spot all the infantry when they are within a hundred meters.

I did a test with a regular rifle company and an axis platoon of panzer 38(t), which did have a coaxial and bow MG plus a medium turret with a cupola.

The panzer’s after spotting the infantry buttoned up and opened up with only their machine guns and routed two of the platoons and the other platoon laid low and didn’t move.

I think the Stuart just has a very big blind spot when its buttoned and without a cupola it will be hard to spot all the infantry platoons

  2. I’m sure the vehicle textures for the next patch will be of vehicles submitted by people during the vehicle-modeling contest. I’d think since my name is in the manual and my vehicle is in the final release that it will in the future be getting its own textures in the next patch.

I haven’t even used it yet because I want it to look historical when I take it into battle. I’m all for the 251 Halftracks getting their own textures in the next version too.

  3. What kind of movement orders did you give to your HMG and mortar teams?

The best movement order for MG teams is move. Your support units can run but a very short distance and if they don't have a HQ with them they will get exshausted and it will take forever to get them unexhausted.

I've had to run with a full load of ammo and a M16, I 'd hate to see how far I'd run with a Maxim MG or a 50 mortar.

Your answer is in your topic, the move command is the best.

  4. Hey BTS any new news on the CMBB version 1.01 patch? I know MadMatt said the patch wasn’t going to be released until next month, which would be November.

I’m just curious because it’s been really quiet on the forum and just wanted to know if any new stuff was going to be added?

I would think some more BMP’s would be added to complete a few more vehicles.

I also have a question about why can’t you select the type of ground conditions you want in a quick battle like very dry, dry, damp, wet… Etc

I’m looking forward to getting that annoying damp ground bug in Quick Battles squashed.

I suspect the manual targeting of minefields is a bit buggy.

You don't manual target minefields with engineer squads, You just position your squad about 15 or 20 meters from the marker and the squad will automaticaly throw a satchel charge to clear the minefield or if its a daisy chain minefield it will disappear.
  6. I really don’t care about BTS"s decision about what to add to the 1.01 patch because I trust their judgement. The only thing I care about is when will the patch be done with testing and be released.

I’m mainly looking forward to getting the rid of the place holding BMPs and making everything look correct and getting the rest of the vehicles for Italy, Hungaria, Romania, and Finland.

I also have special interest in seeing the vehicles for Germany completed since I have a vehicle which I submitted and is sharing a BMP with a panzer 2.

I also wanted to be the 163rd poster on the this thread.

    Thankyou

  7. Why would you need any help to spot 75mm or 82mm mortar rounds? You know where you’re targeting with the artillery spotters or armored vehicles.

You can always rewind the action phase and watch where it’s landing. I understand that 75mm and 82mm artillery craters are small but there are so many craters popping up that is shouldn’t be that hard to see.

You can also move to view 2 or 3 to spot incoming 75mm or 82mm artillery strikes.

I’ll tell you what is hard spotting and that is 50mm mortar rounds; those shell craters are really small and very hard to spot.
