  1. The Stug´s main purpose in the early days was as a infantry support weapon, the early Stug was only armed with a short 7.5cm StuK L/24 gun. The late war model (Stug IIIG) was armed with the long StuK 40(L/48) gun, and that really paid of, now it became a potentiel tank killer. The Jagdpanzer 38 Hetzer was a real anti tank weapon and only build for that purpose. Which you can se on it´s gun a 7.5 cm PaK 39 L/48. And a little further information, the crew of the Stug was recruited in the ranks of the artillery, and not the Panzer, and it was one of the only ways for artillery men to distinguish themself in combat. For more information read Panzer leader, by Heinz Guderian. ------------------ In god we trust, the rest we monitor... von Schalburg
  2. Please let´s not get into this discussion, each side had it´s fair share of war criminals. And then no more about this subject. ------------------ In god we trust, the rest we monitor... von Schalburg
  3. Why do we see the Wesp and Hummel, not very usefull. Why not the Sturmpanzer IV "Brummbär", it saw service from 1944 with heavy infantry gun companies of panzergrenadier regiments and armoured infantry battalions as well as with army tank battalions. Or the Sturmpanzer IV "Sturmtiger" also saw service from 1944. With it's 38 cm gun it would be something different. The Sd Kfz 251/1 with 28 cm rocket launchers (Wurfrahmen) also a fun vehicle. The 15 cm sIG 33/1, saw service from 1943 with heavy infantry gun companies of panzergrenadier regiments. The 15 cm NbW 42 auf 2 ton "Maultier" another rocket vehicle. In service from 1944 with panzerwerferbattalions. Damn, can't stop. Well one has the right to dream. I'm on mission in Bosnia and waithing for my game to arrive, can't wait. Can't play it down here, but to read the manuel and read about it here is almost as good. Can't wait to get home, 28 days left. ------------------ In god we trust, the rest we monitor... von Schalburg
  4. Here is a bit of information on the Lynx: Based on the Pz Kw II. Distinguishing features: Interleaved suspension with large gogis and no return rollers. High track cover and angular hull. Turret similar to that of the Pz Kw II. Assesment: Adaptation of the Pz Kw II design for use as a reconnaissance tank. Fast but lightly armoured. In service: From 1943, in small numbers, with reconnaissance platoons of tank battalions and recce battalions. "I believe it was a Panzer II variant. Had the interleaved roadwheels and such. Probably best used in recon in muddy conditions on the eastern front late in the war. I think the germans even wanted to put a puma turret on it (sounds cool)." Yes they did fit the Pz Kw II with a Puma turret, but it did not go into produktion.
