Ive had a crash, and the game being corrupted, so couldnt load, but the battlefield didnt change colour/ just the ingame text is f-ed up

Just bumping. BTS, is this a known problem with windows 2000??? if it is, is there any plans to address it? it cant be that big of a fix, since it just the mission briefing displaying incorrectly, and the in game text looking somewhat wierd... thanks (ps ive got a geforce card, and 256 ram, and an 750mhz cpu.)

Order Place 1 minute ago... WOW. Havent had this much fun since...a long time. Me and my brother play hotseat, which isnt that great cause the one movie shows where the units are, so surprise is kinda nulled. Cant wait for the TCP/IP patch, that will totally rock! Amazing game! Hey all. Im running the gold demo, and have run into some problems with win2k. Its basically a graphics glitch, that makes all the text etc appear wierd coloured. Also during the initial mission briefing, the briefing appears as a black screen. I have newest drivers and all. Actual game graphics look fine... thanks!

Hey Mike. Well it doesnt look good, I did some digging, and it looks like a lot of people have had problems putting in 3rd party PCI cards into the newer 7500 presario series. (i actually have summer job at compaq, so its easy for me to check up) Anyways this link below is a firmware upgrade to your series of computer. I dont know if it will fix your problem, but it wont hurt to try. Mike_in_texas. If you dont even get the boot up sequence, and your monitor stays blank, its most likley your video card. Is it an AGP or a PCI slot card? Did you buy the card seperatly? or did it come with the system itself. The Compaq computer might have a motherboard that doesnt support that specific brand of card, but that would be very rare. Check all your connections, make sure the card is pressed in all the way. Also when you turn your computer on does it make any beep sound?

Can't wait to hear about the polacks...pity you cant play them in the demo. I am so going to play as Canadians and Poles. This time no cavalry for the Polish Army

Yeah they are totally new... got them from reactorcritical, few days old. Maybe i will try it in windows 2000 when i get home today... Thats another thing, does the game run at all on windows 2000 NT based o/s?

Have been exploring the demo...obviously i still have little idea of what im doing, so the Krauts are making huge progress against my Yanks. But I seem to have a tiny tech problem, and just wanted to ask if anyone has had this occur, and what they did. I guess normally people wouldnt even bother asking about it, but im a perfectionist When i swing the camera around using the arrow keys, there seems to be somewhat of a stutter as the camera moves around....its not extremely bad, but noticeable. The problem is, my system is top-notch. amd 750, geforce 32 ddr, SbLive, 256 ram. One would think this to ensure smooth performance. Im running the game in 1024x768, and using the 5.32 detonators... is there any tweaking possible? thanks p.s. seems like a GREAT game!

I cant wait to get home from work, and try out the demo. I have a cable connection so it shouldnt be a long download. I am canadian, so the game bill will probably top 80 bucks canadian, but if its as good as everyone says it is, should be worth the cost. Also Ive read that a TCP/IP patch will be coming out? Is this a certainty? If so what is the ETA?

Hey to the canadians who have received and paid for everything. What was the final bill? it seems like it could be about $80 bucks canadian. 45US + 8US =53 US * 1.33 (approx for exchange) = 70.49 Canadian (Is there a service charge on credit card for exchange rate?) + 7% GST = 75.42 plus the 5 dollars canada post takes =80.42(plus a possible credit card service charge) damn thats a lot.... i hate the exchange rate. Well .... Looks like I may be looking into this one. But I have one more question that wasn't really answered by the review. It mentions the single battle modes, the scenario mode, and the multibattle mode (not exactly sure what that means...says several battles over a large map) Do any of these resemble a campaign? Sort of like the Panzer series, where you could start with Invasion of Poland, and carry over units and result consequences to subsequent missions. Can you choose between battles? or where you can engage the enemy (ie forest vs. plains?) thanks

Hello all. I have just read the Gamespot review and I like what was written. The reason that I am posting is to ask you people who play the game if I would like this product. I have played some wargames in the past, mainly the Panzer General series, and I am very interested in World War 2. However I dont want to be overwhelmed with stats, and logistical data to sift through. I enjoyed the panzer general games quite a bit, but I found the action lacking. I do enjoy a quick romp of Diablo 2 from time to time. Is this game for me? P.S. Is the demo indicative of the final product? thanks in advance.
