  1. I'm back!!!!!!!

Two glorious fun-filled weeks on a tropical island in a country where the women and drinks are tall, cool, and refreshing

-and all I could think about was getting back to my terminal to blow up all your little virtual bad guys with all my little virtual good guys.

so, who's in my group anyway?

  2. might I also suggest somekind of a warning system for when people try to continue locked threads. Something like "3 strikes and you're banned".

    Dr. Brian battlefront forum profile,

interests:Teaching the world that Nazi Germany and those that fought for it were evil.

    um, hothead alert?

  3. I have the same problem on my G3. The game comes in at 6x8. When I hit escape during the game, the desktop is also at 6x8 (very annoying) If I change the setting to something larger than, yes the resolution is better, but the game only appears in a small box on the top left of my screen.

I've removed the prefs file and reinstalled the game. I never had any problem like this on my G4 at work.

Any suggestions from you Mac users?

  4. I've noticed lots of smoke in AI battles, usually at strange times -like after all the oomph has gone out of their asault. Suddenly, the ground around my troops will be peppered with smoke for no apparent reason. No one's attacking and no one's necessarily retreating anywhere. Just smoke everywhere. I always assumed it was the AI. Are you sure it's all your smoke?

  5. when trying to take out armour with infantry, try crawling "C" in front of the target's projected path. His treads generally become so gummed up with the innards of your squashed troops, that the crew has no choice but to abandon the tank and descend to the carnage below, where they promptly slip on aforementioned innards and bang their heads on the tank's fender, rendering themselves effectively dead. wink.gif

Admittedly costly, but alas, what cost victory.

  6. conceivably, the hull down indication you see during the playback could be imperfect -much like identifying units. If you think you're hull down, it might be written on the screen as "hull down?", but the only way to know for sure is to go to view 1 to check it for sure and adjust accordingly between turns.
