  5. be vewy, vewy careful when huntin Elmuhs at night! I got a tactical victory but kinda pyrrick one. DYO Night with overcast, moderate hills, overcast.. Ami-2 X M8; 1 x M20, 2 gun Jeeps; 1 M5 Stuart 1 platton infantry with 2-30 cal mg, 3 bazookas. at about turn 8 run into (reported by my guys), a halftrack and a Tiger (mah butt puckered!), then another halftrack and infantry noises next turn... my M8 on the right side of a road takes out a SPW 251/1 then is taken out by the "Tiger". My Stuart (Sgt Starbird) moves and and gets a movement kill/abandoned "Tiger" then a faust takes out the Stuart... I then have my infantry move up covered by the other M8, the M20 (near road in middle of map and my 2 gun jeeps (one on each flank). The right flank jeep is taken out quickly but the M8 and M20 take out a PSW 234/1 then another SPW 251/1 quickly and route 2 infabtry squads. Then I lose the last gun jeep...I charge with my infantry who are then broken and routed.... then It ends...with a tactical victory by my guys. 20 turns of sheer terror with the battle swinging back n forth several times.... BTW the "Tiger" was Pzkw IVJ...hehe wonderful game! ------------------ this is pathfinder's evil twin

  9. as ya'll see by my separate post, I also played that scenario but didn't do quite as well as ya'll. Oh well, patience ain't one of my virtues. excellent scenario. BTW, nope ah didn't read no AAR or nuthin' before trying it out... Wild Bill n gang...darn good scenario! me being a lousy tanker I lost all my Shermans by turn 6 DOH! but due to the 1 M5 Stuart (my right flank one-Sgt Frizelli?) and the M10 I took all but one of the Germans out...   18. also remember one thing too. though I am not 100% certain...I bet that only pistols were the TO&E weapon for those crewmen. So my guess is that BTS modeled TO&E.. Yeah, I know that M60 tank crew (drivers) has "grease guns" but.... remember all this stuff has to be modeled and scripted....too many variations and Combat Mission have been coming out the NEXT millinium... ------------------ this is pathfinder's evil twin

  25. have 1-2 Stugs go to the south of the church, there is a decent hull down position there... depending on luck and crew skill at least 1 stug should survive...the two I put there (on occaision) seem to be able to take out 2-3 Shermas with 1 more by the other one or two (if I upped the Germans).... just a thought for ya to try... ------------------ this is pathfinder's evil twin [This message has been edited by pathfinder1 (edited 06-18-2000).]
