  1. I did exactly that for the first battle. I shifted the entire setup to the left, and worked my way up the flank. I took some losses from mines, but managed to get as far as the brush that runs along the left rear of the map by the end of the first battle. I also located (and cleared) a section of AT mines thanks to the heroic sacrifice of the first battle's uni carriers.
  2. Send me the movie file. I want to pass it on to the designer.

  8. On the night of August 6th, 1944, British infantry of the 59th (Staffordshire) division, with support from the 107th R.A.C., crossed the Orne river near the towns of Grimbosq and Le Brieux. Opposing them were units of the German 271st infantry. Throughout the next day the battle raged as the British gradually expanded their brigdehead, while the Germans launched repeated counterattacks in an effort to contain them. I have created two huge Ops, both utilizing the same 3840m x 2960m map, that depict the battles around Grimbosq, Le Brieux and the surrounding countryside. The first Op, "Grimbosq - the crossing", pits elements of the British 176th infantry brigade and 107th R.A.C. against the German 978th Grenadier regiment and attached units. This is an allied advance Op, 7000+ allied / 5000+ axis. 6 battles / 25 turns each. First turn is a night battle. The second Op, "Grimbosq - the counterattack", has the roles reversed, with units of Kampfgruppe Wunsche counterattacking the now established British bridgehead. 10000+ allied / 8000+ axis, same parameters as the first Op. Special thanks to Makjager, JonS, Andreas, Rune, tar and ScottB for their help with research. Sorry if I missed anyone, this has been a long time in the making. Anyway, if you are interested please e-mail me. I can send you the first right away, but am still working on the briefings for the second. Address is in my profile.
  9. This sounds to me like a problem with scenario design rather than limitations with the game engine.
  10. OK, one more question before I release these 2 monsters Ops for testing: did the German 271st infantry division have any StuGs or Marders in support during this battle?

  14. Not sure there is a thing as an average foxhole, since there are so many factors that go into making one. Terrain type is a big factor. Very rocky, very sandy or a water table that is only a few feet below the surface will have an effect. Other things to consider would be troop experience, fatigue level and time availible to dig a hole.

  18. ...psss...remember...no Australian troops this time....
  19. I believe it is already in the game, but it only shows up when the vehicles are moving at full speed. I just ran a test with 3 251/1 HTs on a flat map. 1 was empty, the second towed a 75mm IG, the third a 150mm IG. All were regular, and were given fast move orders. Watching the movie you can clearly see the empty HT pull away from the towing pair, while the one towing the 75mm IG getting ahead of the 150mm IG carrier.
  20. What you experienced happens only 30% of the time. The other 70% has the same American airplane dropping it's payload on the Sherman.
