Show me the Bandwidth! Show me the Bandwidth! Hope there won't be another "Refresh-to-death" syndrome again as in CMBO Gold Demo.

Nope, they will be pissing THE WHOLE WORLD! From Canada to Argentina, and from SanFan to Shanghai.Originally posted by Poobear:If Al-qaeda really wants to piss the West off they will sabotage the CMBB demo release date!

Yep, I would buy 2 copies at the same time and make ONE Special Edition.
My $.02. BTS, don't do any Sp. Ed!
-
It is just over 50% with 649 votes right now, including mine. Keep 'em coming boys and girls!
Regards.

Still ROFL at the turn of the page...
Great work both of you.

I mean: Still not Counter Battery Battery?
-
Just admire how much fun you guys are having!
Okay, serveral notes:
1. The list is just huge! My brain aches just by remembering all. I see there are a lot of improvements. Say entenchments: will your foot soldiers start digging-in automatically when they stay for a while?
2. Will there not be any CBB?
3. How will the duration of the "death clock" be determined? I guess I missed previous posts.
4. About vechicles entering "factory". I am not sure if I get it right. Is it possible to leave one "piece" of wall open so vechicles ma enter or the floor tile says it is a building so no vechicle can enter?
5. I guess we can still re-create some of the CMBO battle with lead-lease tanks. There won't be any bocage right?
6. How is the "operation" in CMBB, then?
Thanks.
Instead of childishly shouting "I want the game now!". I am now making a count-down note to Sept 20. I know I can wait and keep myself living up to at least a week after Sept 20.
Regards.

Here is one. As soon as it is for sale.
BTW, Sir, why don't you start another poll - "Who dares not buy CMBB?"
Regards.

Thanks Moon! This is the best news of today.
-
PL,
The projected release date is not "First Quarter of 2002"....
-
Humm, previous track records say this kind of thread seldom generate official responses...
Today is June 21, 2002 at this part of the world, we shall see. Oh, we are sure that CMBB are gonna release in 2002?

Back 2 topic:
Knowledgable folks out there: did Rommel use similar tactics in the desert as described? IIRC, Rommel used his light panzers to lure the Commonwealth tanks into his "shooting gallery" of PaKs.

Gotta be June 21st, the day when, back in 1941, Operation Barbarossa began. Just speculation. Just get it done BTS, I can wait. Fttb, I am busy with CMBO, etc.
-
Nope, I guess Michael will use your money to get a copy along with his and send the extra to you!
Anyway, I would like to ask BTS to start accpeting preorder at 0000 ETS. It would be fairer to guys and gals living in the opposite side of the planet!

OT: Where is this pic taken? TIA.Originally posted by Kekk1:Hey, how about this? Will it make into the game?

Pillar,
Great read! Thanks.
BTW, you mentioned, if I did not read it wrongly, there were German units breaching from the rear of your position. Can units now enter the map from different points or did I just make it wrongly?
Also, you mentioned there are off-map units. Are they mentioned just for documentation purpose?
Thanks! Can't wait for the full game.
Griffin.

Matt,Originally posted by Madmatt:This decision by Major Fedorov led to his relief from command by the Political Officer of the Battalion. Major Fedorov was accused of sabotage and treason, and shot on the spot after a court-martial.
Is this done behind-the-scene or in-game? Just curious.
Excellent AAR! A couple of screenshots would be nice, though.

I just finished "Fighting the Russians in Winter: Three Case Studies". It is an enlightening read. It clears a lot of previous myths about "General Winter". Thanks for all the reply.
-
Is there any other papers I should read related to CMBO and CMBB? TIA.

Oh, as far as I am concerned, the supply rules comes first. Please don't feel offended but it sound a little "simplifed" to me. Can you elebrate how production and other "hardcore" factors would it be in or would it be close to "War in Russia"?Originally posted by Hubert Cater:There are no roads used in the game (simply a design decision for a game at this level) but supply is calculated properly to include cutoff units. In general supply is determined by a units' proximity to cities or their respective HQ's (which act as supply wagons). Operational movements are included which act as rail transport between friendly connected cities and a unit's current location and so on. There are also action point penalties included for trying to cross over unfriendly rivers and attempting to pass through enemy unit formations etc.
But fun comes first!
TIA.

Common LisP? Hehe, why not write it upon AutoCAD? Now that's gonna be cool!
-
First, from the page, it is written by Fury Software, But is it using the "Eiffel" language? Sounds interesting! (sorry my software developer's blood had just jumped a degree)
That does not look like Clash of Steel, or may be the graphics are so notched up.
How hardcore is it gonna be? I see not railroad and I wonder how its supply rules work.

I sincerely hope BFC/BTS people will spread the demo to GamesDomain.com, Avault.com, or 3DFiles sites which are pretty fast for users from "other parts of the world" where ADSL or not does not make much difference.
Regards.
P.S. Don't send to GameSpy for they charge faster file d/l!
