  1. Warning: This is off-topic!

You may also notice that there is not longer a vertical line seperating the threads and the poster info. I think I can shed some lights on this issue.

When I am ripping Russel's FAQ, I find that each posting is now a table by itself more than just a row in the page table.

To be long winded: all the postings on a thread page are made up of actually 2 tables. The first table presents the topics bar and postings are in the "inner" table. In the old UBB, each posting is a row where the name is on left column and the message is on the right column. It is similar to the message format when you post a new reply (just like what I see right now). But in this new UBB, each post is containted in a row, but each row contains a third level table which holds the poster and the message. So if this inner-most table does not have border, you cannot see the vertical line seperating the poster name and the message any more.

An analogy: the thread page html structure is like a big box containing a smaller box with horizontal racks. The old version of the smaller box contains a central vertical wall in the middle of racks so you can put the name on the left column and the contents on the right. But now the new box does not have a central wall but rather, a even smaller boxes are put into the racks and these small boxes have two slots : one for the name and the other for the message.

    Hope you get it.

Sorry for any typo and poor English.

  2. The problem with CM DB is not all authors respond to your requests! As the current maintainer of CMDB, I have set up a form for designers to put in the details of their new scenarios/operations but so far, there are too few uses of the form so I have to check out all major sites for the new ones :(

I am happy to help but I don't know how much I could do about it....

  3. No Leopard is a modern German tank but I gotta check out the web for its development history. Current model is Leopard 2A5 (or 6?) But I am damn sure it is not a WW2 tank!

BTW, I suggest put your friend a copy of "Encyclopedia of German Tanks of World War Two" by Peter Chamberlain, et al (ISBN: ISBN: 1854095188) into his/her mouth. smile.gif

Oh btw, I have both editions and if you want it, I would sell the 1st edition to you.

[Ed: Confused is it "leapard" or "leopard"?]

  4. I shall try and these are from the news:

    1. Even if the stock survive the infection, they will pose no further economic value cause further feeding would not gain their normal weight back.

    2. The infection itself is very leathal to young animal. Even though vaccine are available to prevent the stock from infection. However, the vaccine only effective for 6 months and thus is too costy.

  5. Normally, I would not let my men walk in the barrage and seems that it is more likely that you get the whole squad wipped this way, not to mention that you would expect an enemy hideout less than 50m before you.

Most of the barrages I face is when my troops stop. Note that most barrages fall within a certain area so, either you move your troops out of the "most probable" landing zone, in case you men are likely to be near the edge of that zone, or just issue a hide command. Running blinding around only makes your men collecting all the shells fell. That is no good. Note also that except your men is routed, they are likely to stay in one location even casualites have been substained.

  6. Deanco, how do you like B&W's TnL and other goodies? Sweet for ya eyes, yo? Hehe :D

BTW, I acutally use keyboard all the way in B&W cause it is faster to move around while my mouse do the work.

Look for preview for CM2: From Barbarossa to Berlin in June issue of Computer Strategy Plus.

I think it is best for Stever&Charles Co. to leave the control as is cause I don't think it is wise to change the whole thing around when most of us have already get used to CMBO control style.
