Edit: oh great Juju, looking forward to it!
In that case, the one at GaJ's has now been updated. The one from the repository version will take the usual couple of hours.
Enjoy!

The other UI mod? Juju's old one or something I don't know about?
I believe he means Marco's silhouette mod, Phil.
But fear ye not. In a few minutes I'll start uploading a, let's say, patched version of v1.1. So look out for Juju's TweakedUI v1.1a. <-- Note the 'a' there at he end, so you know you've got the right one.
UPDATE LOG FOR v1.1a
-- Added missing Besa machine gun files.
-- Re-designed support access buttons for increased visibility (What can I say, Erwin was right ) and a less obtrusive 'blinking mode.'
-- Tweaked the optional US ranks (option 1).
Cheers,
Juju

Is that something you could do? The default is boring and Juju's seems too dark and doesn't match with the rest of your UI graphics. I prefer your UI colors and shades.
That button seems really important to ya, doesn't, Erwin! How about this, PM me the color (or rgb code) you want the button to have and I'll fix up a new one especially for you. How's that for service?

Is there a reason that I don't see the z_Wounded icon - hi-vis versions of this mod?
I've put it in Z directory along with some other JuJu "option" directories and they appear fine, but not the z_Wounded icon - hi-vis changes?
That's strange. It looks like you've done everything right, so I have no idea. You sure you didn't install the lo-vis version by accident?
-
One question - If one prefers a stock graphic eg. the binoculars icon, does one just delete the new version from the mod folder?
Yes, indeedy. For that very reason I left this mod unpacked instead of .brz-ing it up, btw.
-
pcelt, yes the Besa was a stupid oversight. I'll probably update that one later, as it appears to turn up quite a bit. Only not when I was testing the mod, since no shots were fired there.

Just curious... re the default support button, isn't it the same one every time?
Are you saying that just that one button requires 4 components?
Yep. Standard greyed out (no artillery available), standard (artillery available), pressed down (orange), and blink (green). 2 for those, so that makes five IIRC.

Re the support button (what you press to access arty support). Can one only select one?
Am wondering whether to simply pick an arty piece I like from the silhouettes and copy and rename it.
No, Erwin, Might have been fun to have had options for that, but there's only one.
Your suggestion of just copying a silhouette is not going to work! For one thing those support buttons consists of four separate files each.

I've just downloaded both the files I uploaded at Gaj's and the repository to make absolutely sure. There has to be a problem at your end. You must have accidentally installed the optional status text files.

Guys,
I am ready to install Juju's ver 1.1 and remove ver 1.01.
But I am confused on installing mods in my Z folder? I had installing all my mod's using the RezPack in the Mod tools folder to make a new .brz file.
But I read the readme on installing mods and it says to drop them in the Data, Z folder and they will work.? Does that mean you don't have to convert the .bmp's files in these mods to a Brz file? Like I am ready to install Juju's mod.
Thank's for any info.and help on installing mods.
Zane
You just drop the 'Juju's TweakedUI v1.1' folder into your 'Z' folder. No need to pack or unpack anything. I've stopped using .brz files because a lot of people like to pick-and-choose and also see what they get before they install.

Great work Juju---but I have 1 issue---- Default Command and Control icons have the overwritten words like the optional choice---no version free of words.
Cheers
Dang, you scared me there. I just checked the file I uploaded, and in there the default ones are the default ones. You sure you haven't installed the optional ones by mistake? Or am I messing things up?
@ Bradley : And yes, with so many files there's bound to be some hiccups. I couldn't find that thing anywhere in the game and thought it must have been placed in there by mistake. Stuff like that happens. There are several leftover CM:SF files in the game's .brz, for instance. In short, it's not included.

Okay, the GaJ's version is now updated to include those missing buttons. The repository version will take the usual few hours to come up.
For people who have already downloaded the mod earlier than this, there's a downloadable fix a few posts up.

I also simply copied in the new arty piece overwriting the old one. Hope that is ok, and we do not need to keep the old one for any reason? I noticed that the main difference is that the new one has a gun shield.
I'm guessing you're talking about one of the US artillery silhouettes from the support panel? If so, IIRC correctly that file is now shared with the CW forces and I had to choose between two models.

Turns out there are some support access buttons missing. You can download these right here, right now.
I'll fix the main submissions at the repository and GaJ's ASAP!
-
Wow, the mod's only been out a few hours and already closing on 1500 downloads.
Heh, no. Those include all DL's from the first release last June onwards.
-
Oh so that is what it was - very smart, smart indeed!
So, you've deciphered it, then?

Looks great. One minor bug. The artillery icon switches between the new one and the old one when an artillery mission is underway (yellow flashes).
Good one! I never even considered that and never actually called in artillery while testing. I'll fix it and include If I ever update the mod. Or post the fix in this thread. Or something.
Anyway, thanks guys. I'm glad I could participate in enhancing your gaming experience. It was a lot of fun, too!
I'd also like to thank all the participants of the preview thread for their -at times- overwhelming support. All the comments, criticism and suggestions contributed to the final result. While It's impossible to make each and everyone of you happy, I hope that by offering you some options there's at least something there for everyone. I know how you guys love options.

You're welcome guys!
The only thing I'm a little disappointed in, is the fact nobody was able to 'crack' the pre-release announcement morse code. I really expected a little more grogginess from you guys, there. Oh well...

Vin's Animated Text mod was one of the first to be updated for CW. You can find it in the repository, I believe.

No, I timed with a stopwatch how long it takes after clicking 'ok' on the 'select game options' screen up until the 'briefing screen' pops up. And that three consecutive times. That's probably why the 2nd and 3rd load times are slightly better.

I, for one, am luvvin' it. They look awesome!
