  1. Coltz,

Easy there dude! First off, Turn off your caps (they signify someone yelling).

    Now, about PBEM. Follow along:

    1) start game

    2) choose e-mail for your play option

    3) choose side, etc...

    4) set-up forces

    5) hit "GO"

    6) PBEM screen comes up, your game has been converted to a PBEM file (you can rename it )

    7) attach PBEM file to e-mail

    8) send to opponent

    Here's a helpful tip:

create a seperate PBEM folder for each of your opponents in your CM directory (it helps to organize all the incoming files)

    I hope this helps.

P.S. i might have #2 and #3 mixed up, but you should be able to figure it out.

  3. Hello Panzerleader,

    3 things come to mind:

Have BTS mail it to a family member / friend in Brazil

Or, rent a P.O. box near your new home and have BTS mail it there.

Or, arrange with someone who has already ordered to add an extra copy to their order. Make sure it's someone who pre-ordered with a credit card. When you arrive in Brazil just send them the funds so they can ship it to you.

    I hope this helps

P.S. I have family in Brazil (option #4, if all else fails)

  4. I have absolutely no experience in Beta testing of computer games, my computer has the bare minimum specs needed to run the game, I have no free time, and frankly couldn't care less if the rounds skipped, bounced, cork screwed, or rolled across the field like some high explosive bowling ball.

In short, i am the worst person you could get to test CM2.

    I eagerly await your e-mail smile.gif

  5. Charles,

I too have witnessed (heard) this. I'm playing VoT and my opponent has his 105 Shermans on the hill but behind the crest (definetly out of LOS).

Anyways, i panned over to his side of the map and i could clearly hear the tank engines, although i saw no tank or sound contact. In fact if i was to pan along his edge of the map at camera view #1 i could pinpoint the exact location by the way the sound would switch from one speaker to another. However, when i recieved the next PBEM turn i was unable to hear it again.

  6. Last night i ran 2 back to back VoT games as the Germans. Each time i played the AI and my forces were at +50.

The first time i recieved 2 150 IG guns, an extra Shreck team, and everything else remained the same. Each 150 lasted a total 30 seconds after they fired. Doesn't matter if you give them ambush markers to prevent them from firing, eventually they have to participate in the defense, and they die soon after that. Without the IGs, the 75 was all alone and overwhelmed. Result-crushing axis defeat.

The second time was a carbon copy of the first with the exception that i got 2 75 bunkers instead of the extra IG. They ruled the Battlefield, popping both 105 Shermans early on. The AI used the 105 arty against Plomville and the 81s against my LH platoon, so the bunkers were undisturbed throughout the game. The Sherman reinforcements would constantly pop smoke to avoid both bunkers (which were in mutually supporting positions). One by one they got lit-up. In the end the Shrecks weren't even needed, and the Panther engaged infantry targets.

My vote goes to for the extra 75 bunker. They are much more effective than the 150 IGs.

P.S. Mike, if you read this, I hope i get the extra 75 in our re-match biggrin.gif

  7. Greetings gents,

I've taken General Patton's offer for a beta PBEM but i'm unable to fire up the demo. I made sure to D/L the gold to another folder to prevent any conflict with the 2 versions.

Is there anyone that can offer some assistance? I'd hate to leave the poor guy stranded. Please e-mail me directly.

    Thank you

  8. Hmmm...good question.

Myself, I'd prefer to swap the 150 IG for an extra 75 bunker. Give those two bunkers interlocking fields of fire, and fix the targetting bug, and now you got game smile.gif

Or, how about this for a scenario...take one of the 88s from Reisburg, put it in a concrete bunker in VoT. Then take the 150 IG and put it in Reisburg.

Man, i could think up a hundred of these. If only there was a way to design your own scenario, Hmmm... wink.gif

  10. Iggi,

Are you using the terrain to your advantage? If you're going head to head with the Shermans in the open then you're going to get lit up.

However, if you are using the little knolls and dips in the terrain to get hull down, then the Stugs have a big advantage over the Shermans smile.gif

  11. You're probably experiencing a run of bad luck with your Stugs.

There are countless posts that describe Stugs getting the drop on Shermans, And taking them out with the first shot.

Are you playing a hotseat / PBEM game or against the AI? I find that human opponents use the terrain to the Stugs advantage much better than the AI.
