It's more like "MGs in game don't live up to their exaggerated reputation".

A strange thing happened to me in a PBEM:
I watched a movie, gave orders and sent the file to my opponent. He gave orders and returned the file to me and I sat back and thought that I would only get to see a movie.
Wrong, once again I had to give orders but all my previous orders were still there (as if the game was saved) so I only had to press "GO" and the turn was calculated.
Since we play 2 games simultaneously I'm sure somefink went wrong.
Is this a known issue?
If not we'll try to reproduce it and send a bug report.

I recently discovered this photo of contemporary Russian troops. It is obvious that their encounters with the SS-Weihnachtsgrenadiere in the early 40's have influenced them.

We just got the download statistics and hope that all of you who have downloaded the mod, complete or partial, have enjoyed it as much as we did.
There's a lot of Coca-Cola trucks roaming the wartime European countryside right now!

It's because you play with 1.05. The change was made in one of the beta versions.
-
The amount of ammo the vehicle crews have was reduced to "low" some time ago.
I just thought that the change, for some reason, wasn't made to the gun crews.
Since the change was made to obstruct "gamey" use of crews it seemed logical (at least to me ) that the change should be made to the gun crews as well.
-
I've noticed that crews from knocked out / abandoned vehicles have "low" ammo but crews from guns / mortars that have been destroyed or abandoned have 15 ammo points (as before).
Both types of crew are pretty messed up (panic, broken or routed) and have the dreaded exclamation point.
This is in the v1.1b24.
Shouldn't the gun crews also have "low" ammo?
It's not a big issue but it feels inconsistent.

The SS-Weihnachtsgrenadiere must of course be included in CM2.

CM has included all of the German units on the Western Front during 1944-1945. All of them?
NO!
One important unit is missing!!!
The SS-Weihnachtsgrenadiere!
BTS! Please fix! Or do somefink!!!
To correct this slight oversight we (Patrik & Kurtz) have created a mod package as a homage to the hard and noble SS-WGr.
Download the mod package from www.kramgo.se/cm/index.html

You can choose weather and ground conditions separately in the Scenario Editor.

Finns?
Estonians?
Since these provinces historically always have been a part of Greater Sweden I don't see why they should be registered separately on a ladder.

Isn't the G3 a descendant of the planned MP45 (?) with rollers to lock the bolt.
Anyway, the design of the mechanism in the MP44 and the G3 is completely different from each other.

It's easier to attack because you can concentrate your firepower on a narrower section of the battlefield to achieve a breakthrough, the defender still has to defend the entire front and is vulnerable when he tries to regroup. I also think that the foxholes give very little protection against artillery, especially against treebursts. This makes sense for open foxholes, but if you have overhead protection the effect on arty should be lessened. Maybe different kinds of troop fortifications are needed...

Penetration can actually increase if the skirt help increase the stand-off distance to what is optimum for the warhead. The design of the warhead could be wrong and not allow for the standoff distance required.
There are examples of fairly modern rounds whose penetration is larger against ERA due to the increased standoff distance.
