I must say the last page of the MBT has been one of the most enjoyable reads in some time.
There is just something about reading of a fellow poolers misfortune that brings a smile to the face.
P.S.- You driv.... drove a Honda?

Of course not lions are a protected species, they would go to jail for shooting them.
Nothing wrong with shooting unicorns though.

Currently reading 'Tobruk' by Frank Harrison, it is very informative and a great read. The author, being a veteran of the siege, also includes some personal anecdotes of the siege along with the account of the actual battle. I find this makes for very gripping and at times amusing reading.
edit - Also Alan Moorehead's 'African Trilogy' is also a good read on the subject.

Basic Map Reading 1:25000

I have a 1:50,000 map of Tobruch (with defensive positions marked with red pencil) scanned from from 2AIF's 6th Division War Diary. Using the scale on this map I measured the squares as being exactly 1km by 1km. Hope this helped.
I think I have a 1:25,000 map of Bardia somewhere, will see if I can find it.
