WWII Online... full of crap, or can they deliver?
WWIIRulz replied to mcgivney's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
WWIIOL is most definetly not going towards the Quake kind of game. If you have been following WWIIOL for a while, you would have known that the producers (who stop by the forum frequently, just like BTS) are trying to make the game the most realistic the can. Head to this site on alot of good info. http://www.hq.wwiionline.com/ -
Cool, you'll only be 45 min away from me dirk.

Patton takes a leak off a bridge.
WWIIRulz replied to buddy's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Knowing Patton, he was probably pissing on a dead German soldier. -

Well when i recieved CM a week ago, I immediately downloaded the graphic mod pack, but I forgot to download the sound pack until tonight, and all I have to say is WOW. It made the imersion factor go up, all those sounds from SPR made me appreciate the game even more. My question is, in the next mod pack, will there be more sounds?

Well, playing the computer is fun but there is nothing like playing against a human foe. Any takers? This will be my first PBEM. I want to get into the habit of playing alot of human opponents.
-
Whats a good site to find alot of PBEM opponents?

I was just thinking, would it be possible for BTS to implement sand in the next patch. It would be good to recreate alot of the invasions and would add a nice touch for the many users creating the D-Day invasion scenarios.

Right now hes probably too embarrased to reply.

What's up with the Team Desobry Operation???
WWIIRulz replied to Pak40's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Go to the Scenario forum and read what I posted on the same thing. Same thing happened to me, and it seems everyone else too. Its the operation. -
Operation: Team Desobry- - - - Spoiler
WWIIRulz replied to WWIIRulz's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Why "the only"? -
Well after playing this operation I am in confusion. The object was to hold the town of Nuvillle guarding over the road to Bastogne. I setup in the town heavily with a couple of troops and armor at the road leading to Bastogne. I held the Germans from coming even remotely close to the road to Bastogne, and the Germans didnt even make it into the town of Nuville. Also I inflicted more casualties than they inflicted on me. I lost 10 armored vehicles, them 18, I lost 34 men, (9 KIA), they 54 men (24 KIA), yet at the end of turn 15 it was a total axis victory. Did I miss something in the briefing?

Yes, I have the smoke on high, but I have yet to see a catastrophic explosion.
-
Yes I heard the same thing. I remember reading an article on it. Im sure it will be made.
-
Are the catastrophic explosions in the mad-dog mod pack?

Same thing here Heinz, I came home from my summer job, after 12 hrs of working and discovered the manual. I was happy yet dissapointed until I found out that the cd was in the manual.

If, say, I ordered CM tomorrow, how long do you estimate the arrival? I live in RI, 2 states away from Maine.

They are too busy playing it.
