You took the words (or letter) right out of my mouth. I made a mental note to write Trotter after I read that article and never got around to it. Id like to know why he didnt metion it in an article that had CM written all over it (just not on the page).

PE is an excelent "down in the dirt" tank sim. There is no overhead view, all you have is what you can see out the vision slits or your coppula. The gunnery ballistics are top notch (the most difficult part of the game for most newcomers), and the ammo types, armor values, and ballistic ranges are as good as Ive seen. Its only drawback is the multi play reliability with 4 players. 2-3 players runs well, and 4 players 50% of the time. Theres a patch in the works for this. Make sure you have a hot system too, or your frame rates may be horrible. Its a texture hog, and youll need an equally good video card to run it smooth. Fortunatly, tanks dont move that fast (especialy if they are shooting at you), so the slow frames dont effect game play to much. Single player missions are historicaly accurate, with weapon types and variouse armor being available only in the year (and month) they were historicaly. You wont know adrenelin until you have you nosed mashed to the gunsight in an M4, and a Tiger platoon rolls over the ridge

i get sick of americans thinking it was just them alone in these wars. i seem to remember a little organisation called the " UN " dont know if u have heard of them before...
Sure, Ive heard of "it". 1/3 of their budget is subsidized by the U.S. , and "it" has never gone to war without the U.S. leading it there. Not only that, it was founded by the U.S., and in and of itself, it has no standing military body (but it would love to establish a soverein one at our expense), and doesnt have the capacity to wage war independently.

Thanks for the help guys. Skipping notepad altogether now, and using the "save-as" tool. (geeze, Im not as Windows literate as I thought)

Im trying to copy and paste the text into notepad to create a text file thats usable in the game directory. When I paste, it says not enough memory to complete operation. I have 96MB, and the text is only around 200K, so what do I need to do? (Tried Wordpad also, but the game doesnt seem to like those file types)

Man, where have I been. I cant stop cackling with glee as I watch my boys lob pineapples into those Kraut foxholes. (Ive been living in a foxhole, cause I just found out about this game!) Ive made short work of the poor AI, Im looking for a few good men. (PS. When is this game gonna be finished?)
