Dr Brian,

While your sherman example would make sense if the tanks only moved thier hulls. It is very wrong.

That sherman would go ahead and start turning it's turret towards that panther...while at the same time the hull would start to rotate also.

End result:

Your sherman gun is firing at the panther faster than if it just turned its turret, and your front armor is facing the panther also.

Berli... beating my ass. Not really much more to it than that. I could go on about him being a gamey cheat.. But it really is because I suck.

OGSF... I would say I was rolling up his flank. But he is actualy in a circle, using his germans for a Cutlers last stand effort.

Germanboy... This is just plain sad. One of two things here... Scenario way unbalenced, Or my God like abilities are starting to shine through... I'd go with the first.

other games are all outside the pool... hence they don't deserve a mention.

First while agree with some of what your saying... I don't understand your historical problems with this.

(first let me say I am not a german only player looking for a bonus, I know that is the first thing that usualy comes out.)

But for example I am the TC in a panther and I spot a sherman approching from 8 o'clock.

I see two options..

1) move the turret on that sherman and just wait for the 30-45 seconds, allow shells to bang off my flank, and just say who cares?

or

2) start turning the turret and the main hull towards the target at the same time. Sheman on target in about 15 seconds, maybe one shot on my flank, then when I am on target due to hull facing I am not dead if my gunner misses a shot or two.

I'd always go for option 2. Unless of course you already have your hull facing another AT threat. In that case Your flank is exposed reguardless.

I think the issue still falls back to tank AI using it's main gun on soft targets. Yes it can be a pain sometimes and I would prefer a target selector, or only allowing main gun shots at infantry with player orders. I don't see that happening.

Now as one who has been using the beta's for a week or so. I also have to add that this "problem" hasn't really been one for me.

I'm sure it has been tested for a while. If I am not mistaken the Hull turning has been in for the last one or two beta's.. At least I believe seeing a Hull turn a couple of times the last week or so.

Re-reading all the post, I do understand what you guys are saying.

Honestly though in the Games I sent out turns on today..and the lone scenario with the AI.. I saw no problems what so ever.

I guess the only option (not sure how hard though), would be to leave the hull turning in. But only make the AI use it against AT threats. Other tanks, AT guns ect...

I really like the hull-turning change that has been put in.

As for Bruno's worries... they have always been there. Tanks seeing equal threats have always had the tendency to swivel the turret and not really fire at anything. With the slow German tanks. I have seen german tanks swival thier turrets for almost the whole turn and shoot at nothing. This is nothing new, just now I guess you notice it more due to the hull turning also.

Note yes it does happen, and gets on your nerves. But not any more now than it has since the beginning.

It really is a matter of taste. I am sure you are awear of Matt's web site. He has a lot of the MOD's there and most of them have a picture so you can see what you are getting.

Personaly I just pick up vehicle and or infantry mods as they strike my fancy.

For Terrain I Love DD's MOD's

For houses and buildings I am using Panzertruppens.

Just browse around there and see what you like.

But since 14 inch artillery is naval guns. It is only avalible really early, when the ships could still reach the action.

My man, Who says I actualy eat there?! Nay I go to the waffle house for three reasons.

1) They are open 24 hours.

2) The coffee is ok.

3) They really don't seem to mind when some wargamer shows up at midnight with a stack of books, maps, and reference mataerial. Then proceeds to hang out and read and/or study for 2 or 3 hours, all while spending a total of about 2 or 3 bucks.

Umm, Panzerleader.

Not really positive what might be causing that. It might be your connection speed. Or you just got a hold of a bad connection. Do you have problems listening to any other web broadcast with winamp?

As for the sites content. It is a big buffet, The german, Japan, american, ect... broadcast are all there on the same station.
