Actually Its a Hydraulic Recoil kinda thingie (My Terminology may be off) but its a buffer so the gun stays where it is placed.
I think it came into being with the french 75.
If I am wrong Bullethead will surely correct me..

Wow, At least mine took out Two Armored Cars and Numerous Frenchmen. The last burst whacked the FO. AT least I didn't have to waste my time watchin over him after his ammo ran out
My opponent about shat himself when they atarted falling. Was a weird QB. The computer gave me !NO! Grunts. My OOB was
1x150mm rocket Spotter
1xStugIII
2xSdKfz 250/1
1x8cm AT Peice (Puppchen? Or whats the other one)
1x75mm IG
And thats it, against a mass of frenchmen. It was a bloody mess (For my Opponent) as my Rockets whacked a bunch of his guys, and my AT Piece nuked three Tracks in one turn. Unfortunately Sheer numbers overpowered my Stug and Tracks after my Guns were silenced by his 105..
*sigh*

Learn how to use EMAIL for personal conversations. Its not that difficult.
I also find the "Gassed" comment quite out of line and offensive. I hope you learn real fast or get banned, Either way the board will be a better place.

I've had excellent luck with IG's and Pack Howitzers killing LOTS of stuff, Tracks are easy meat, as are light to medium tanks if you can get a flank shot and they still have their HEAT rounds

I just hope someone can make a game that captures the fighting in the PTO in s comparable manner to Combat Mission..
I would also like to see Antietam done,along with some other Famous Civil War battles.
That being said, I drool simply at the thought of T34's and Pz III's duking it out on the Steppes...

The game is set in 1940. Spit 1's,Bf109e's, MkII's and Renaults were state of the art. No Tigers and Panthers yet.

Guilty As Charged
The game is a Genre Buster. Its more than a "simple" Wargame IMHO. I have never been a big fan of the turn based,cardboard counters as much as the tabletop stuff. For me,this is the best of both worlds. Visceral and thought provoking.Here's to many more great games from Big Time Software!!!

I would go with the Athlon, But I am biased
Seriously,Its all a matter of preference. I have a Atlon Thunderbird at 1ghz and it has no problem with a Geforce 2 GTS at all. Some of the early motherboards had problems but anything coming out now motherboard wise is compatible.
That and I hate Intel...
