  1. Your reading material is very informative and well organized. Using your instructions, it become easy to win the infantry scenario with 1-2 losses. However, the tank scenario is impossible due to very poor spotting from the tanks as they have it now. Even after AT gun fired up to four times at my tanks, it never become visible. After I flanked the AT gun position with my other two tanks and parked right next to the woods, still did not see it. Then I got mad and drove one of my tanks unbuttoned into the middle of the wood and then I finally saw it 5m away. Scratch one tank.
  2. Are you issuing the face command at your last waypoint? For example, if I want my machingegun to set up near the opening in hedge, I issue movement order to that hedge opening. Then I select that last waypoint, issue the facing command and the click the deploy button. Next turn they will move to that waypoint, spin a bit and face the selected facing direction and begin to deploy the weapon. I never have problem with either the machinegun crew or mortars using this method.
  3. I just issue facing command prior to deploying weapon. Works for me.
  4. Those are just buildings with barn skins. I was hoping for a real barn. Those you can drive into.
  5. How come there are no barns in the game? They would be very handy in hiding our vehicles.
  6. For those new players that want to discover the joy of WEGO LAN play: This is how I set up a game of WEGO in LAN play. What I do, is set up two share folders on my desktop. One share folder is created by my opponent and the other by me. Then, I also open the incoming and outgoing email folders under game files on top of my desktop and leave them open. He does the same on his computer. Once my opponent ends his turn, he places his file from his outgoing email into his share folder. I then copy the file from his share folder into my incoming email folder. I then load this file from the "saved game" option in game menu. Now, the nice thing is, that you do not have to exit the CMBN program. Just Alt Tab it, so you can do other stuff while waiting for your file. Once I finish my turn, I copy it from my outgoing email folder into my share folder. He then grabs it from there and places it into his incoming email folder. Round and round we go like this all day. We tried real time, but this is so much better. Both of us are using Windows 7. Creating share folders between Vista and Windows 7 involves more steps and is not as straight forward as between two Windows 7 systems. In Windows 7 you create your share folder inside " network/your computer name". Then just drag it on to your desktop for easy access.
  7. "I'm sceptical about that. Shouldn't using Target Light just make them use their personal weapons instead of the mortar?" They do if you do not deploy mortars.
  8. I tend to use target light in direct fire mode. In my experience, they fire only 3-4 rounds on area target per turn in WEGO. On a unit target, they seem to quit once they loose it. The only problem is, that the riflemen also fire, thus increasing the posibility of giving away your position. In this game, I'm now using direct fire more and more. With the strict time limits in some of these scenarios, waiting 5-6 min. is just too much time.
  9. What a nice video! It looks like a great map to play on. We are so lucky to have people like you, to design these scenarios. I'm looking forward to the release.
  10. I also wish that ammo carriers would replace machine gun crews when they go down. After all, any soldier can man a machine gun in a half track, right?
  11. Are shadows in the game to look pretty, or do they have an actual purpose? I hope that they play a role in concealment.
  12. I have a sneaky suspision that most are not willing. That is why I read in some threads how some scenarios are easy and that the designer should crank up the difficulty. But I ask, at what difficulty setting are these players playing at? After all, there are five different levels for the player to choose from, basic to iron. And as for scenario designers, do they keep a certain level of level play in mind when they design the scenario? Maybe they should make a comment like, if you play at veteran and below it will be an easy going, but this scenario was designed for elite or iron mode of play. I myself prefer to lose a scenario and admit that I lost. I come back to it, after I play some other scenarios, with a new approach and energy.
  13. What level are you playing at? Have you tried Iron mode? Are you playing RT or WEGO? It makes a lot of difference in gameplay if you have too much information about the enemy. In Iron mode, you just don't get it right of way. Your biggest worry will be that MG42 and 81mm mortar. You will wonder which one of those spotted icons they are. Then it may be too late. If you are playing in Iron mode, then I bow to you. If not, try it. You may change your mind in how easy it is.
  14. Martin Krejcirik, thanks for taking the time to test and then share the results. This will save a lot of mortar rounds.
  15. Yes, but you have to make the hole large enough. That means detonating twice.
