  1. Damn, I should have mentioned that. Spindry69 download Darknights entire 21st Army Group. You will not be disappointed. This will allow you to apply unit markings, uniform and vehicle, for any British unit that fought in Europe. Darknight did an amazing job here. The level of detail is incredible and how he pulled it off without going insane still astounds me. MikeT
  2. Haven't seen the email yet but as soon as I get it I will email over the files and the instructions. Mike
  3. Gordon Molek did a winterized Cromwell. He also did a mon-color (gelb yellow) 250-8. Both of these are in CMMOS4 now and will be released in time. You could find old versions of these at combatmission.com MikeT
  4. For CMBO fans and Pacific theater fans, tonight I am uploading some special "housekeeping" files, 3 in total, that are absolute requirements to allow several mods to work. In order for any wav file, either speech or the music files, to work the contents of this zip must be unzipped into the wav folder of CMBO. I learned real quick, to my saddness, that CMMOS does not treat wav files in the same way as it does bmp files. The preview feature of a wav mod permits playing that plays the wav mod so you know what it sounds like. Very useful but the file must be in the wav folder of the game. That means you must install the mod as well has have it in a zip file. Not desireabe to me. So I decided to create a dummy file with the same name as the mod, the preview plays that file. So what happens here is that the contents of file "SPEECH_FILES_TO_WAV_1_CMBO.zip" must be unzip into the wav folder of CMBO. You install the music or speech files you wish. When you install your file it takes the place of the file that is in "Speech_Files_to_Wav_Folder_CMBO.zip". This is the only way I could get wav files to function within CMMOS/CMBO. There is a second issue that must be address. I am going to start posting some mods that have "_MP3" the title. I had to convert the wav files in that mod to MP3 format to save space, up to 90%. You will need to unzip that file, convert the MP3 file to a wav format. I have researched this matter and found the following sites where you can download a share MP3 to wav converter, if you need one: http://www.americanshareware.com/ (30 day free use) http://www.share2.com/ http://www.audioi.com/audio-converter.htm http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/news/481/ Now someone did post on the CM Mod Database such a converter but I cannot find it. Now, once these are done, I will post the Pacific theater mod along with some other unique mods. MikeT

  6. patboy, I am posting Lucky Strikes Panthers plus an addon he did right now. Should be all done in say an hour or so. Then I am going to take a break and work on the speech file problem. Once done the Pacific will be posted. MikeT
  7. Oh, yeah LS's work is classic, like AndrewTF. I am going in alphabetical order so it will later today before it get around to it. MikeT
  8. CMMOS is self-installing. Just double click on it and follow your nose from there. Also make sure you download the rulesets and unzip those for later use. Once CMMOS is installed you will be asked which game you which to start with, CMBO-CMBB- or CMAK, find the exe for that game, then install the rulesets. Once those are installed. You will be ready to install the mods. Now there is in the installed CMMOS a very detailed install guide that Gordon Molek created some time ago. MikeT
  9. I am uploadeding to CM Mod Database German armor. MikeT
  10. Rob, by friend, just let me know when ready. Mike
  11. Rob, for me 4.05a installed right over 4.03 but two have reported problems of not installing at. If you prefer I can simply email the new CMMOS.exe and the filelists. You create the necesssary folders in the CMMOS folder and you are done. On your parents, I lost mine years ago. I know EXACTLY how you feel. Damn you get sick no problems you can tough it out. They get sick there is nothing you can do to help. The most terrifying feeling in the world. All my hopes and prayers to you all. MikeT
  12. I just uploaded the corrected CMMOS mod for Captain Wacky's tracer mod. It is V3. MikeT
  13. I hope you are right tweed. I did check this out on my work PC, XP Pro. I installed 4.3 first then installed 4.5 over that. It didn't remove any mods or rulesets and CMAK installed with no problems. I talked with Greg Hellem up here, he did the installshield for me, he commented that maybe the problem PCs are using Windows95 or ME. However a work around is possible I just need to send you the right files and you can hand build the CMMOS yourself. Very easy and detailed instructions are possible for any "PC Challenged" among us. MikeT
  14. Juju did an aquaduct mod some time ago, but this would look good. MikeT
  15. The second half of Darknight's 21st Army Group, the vehicles have just been posted. Tonight, I am thinking some German vehicles, summer and winter. Some real goodies in there. MikeT
  16. I just uploaded the first half of Darknight's 21st Army Group. This is truly an epic bit of work he came up with. You can select which formation of the Group and have your troops with the proper arm patches, victory flags, and even vehicle markings. It is massive at 24 zips and around 124 meg all total. I got the uniforms tonight and will finish up the with the vehicles tomorrow. Next up, I got to fix a problem with wav files, then post what you need to make wav files work, essential for some of the coolest part of the revamp project. Then I will start posting the Pacific mod and even the Star Wars mod. This weekend should be rather interesting if I get done what I want done. MikeT
  17. OK, how about this. I can email you the CMMOS.exe and the zipped file with the CMAK filelists. You will create a folder tree in the CMMOS directory for CMAK, that will have two folders called MODS and FILELISTS. See the folders for CMBB and CMBO and just copy that. You place the CMAK filelists in the FILELISTS folder. The rename the old CMMOS.exe file to CMMOS_old.exe and place the new CMMOS.exe to CMMOS folder. That should get you running. If interested just email me at miket6065@sbcglobal.net MikeT
  18. Good point, I will change that. MikeT
  19. It is not in the Mod Manager section. Click on new CMAK mods, then the designer "MikeT" you should then find it. Download the new zip plus the new rulesets. If interested in CMBO you will find those in the CMBO section. I made one serious miscalculation and placed the CMMOS and rulesets zips under my name not "CMMOS" which I am using now. I do need to ask Todd about if that can be fixed. But give it another look. If you still cannot find it email me at home tonight at "miket6065@abcglobal.net" and we can go over it again. MikeT
  20. link, problem??? Oops, let me check into this. Thanks. Mike
  21. Well it seems obvious to me that the new version of CMMOS is a hit. It is been out a very short time and has had 101 downloads! Doesn't match GreenAsJade's mod manager in download numbers but his has been out a while longer but I am working on giving him some friendly run for his money kind of thing. I was a bit surprised to see that AndrewTFs Kubelwagen mod for CMAK is the highest downloaded item with 135 downloads? More downloads than CMMOS itself and you need the new version to make his mod work!!?! Wait till you see his Kubelwagen for CMBO, if memory serves there are 8 different version to choice from, yeah something like that. Now I am pouring CMMOS mods for both CMAK and CMBO (more of CMBO will follow this weekend) and will be doing so for some time now. So I am asking a special request. CM Mod Database is valuable resourse for all of us. It is being run by a gamer out of his own pocket. I am going to try to factor in some money, no much maybe $50 or so, to help matters. So if anyone out there can find anything to help keep this resource for us running please give it a thought. Trust me more CMMOS mods are on their way, I have some 400-500 for CMBO alone. His costs to run the Database got to be a handfull. MikeT
  22. A coworker did the install shield version of this for me. He asked me to test it out before it finialized some details. There is a point in the install where you can accidentially press cancel, I did it the first time around, and ended the install process. I am assuming that this is what happened. Try installing 4.05a again but watch and read carefully before you press any hot button. Let me know the results. I just checked my work PC and I do have 4.05 loaded, it says so on the top of the window. So I think it is safe to assume you accidentially cancelled the install process. MikeT
  23. Well I have just posted EVERY Allied and German uniform mod I have for CMMOS/CMBO, a total 30 mods. Enjoy MikeT
  24. Now there is an interesting point, CMMOS might work with this. MikeT
  25. OK, lets run with this idea. Terrain could be redone as either lineloum tile (spelled wrong), or carpet, or a wooden table top. Buildings could have the Airfix plastic look, trees a train set look and base. If done right could have a campy look. Damn, AndrewTF having a kid is really opening up your "weird" side. MikeT
