  1. Londoner, closed threads are closed for a reason, opening another one just means the mod goes "bad boy!" and closes it again.

BTW, what do you do at Janes? I have an interest (and some study) of Private Military Companies amongst other things, and enjoy the Janes news brief I get.

(in London.. cheering on the Finns tonight biggrin.gif )

  2. Anyone generated any NZ maps/scenarios? I guess we'd have to use a combo of Canadian/Brit formations, but I'm not to sure on the OOB and TOE thingy for the NZ forces.

I know there was lots of kiwis at Monte Casino and throughout Crete etc, but finding maps and details has eluded me, (only tried a web-search so far).

Anyone else been more successfull? I've seen pics of Kiwis in fireflies and shermans, so I'm sure the battles would be interesting.

  3. Chupie, Germy, Dr Al, Coral, (and anyone else), we're going for drinks on Monday the 16th.

Go to leicester square, come out of charing cross road entrance turn, right, then right a few paces down the road and you're infront of a bar, go in there! About 7.pm sounds good to me.

We'll talk about the trip to Bovington on Saturday the 21st and generally laugh as the Yank gets drunk on real beer.

  4. Aww, yeah, I know it's a great early war tank.. but I just don't like it because it looks ugly biggrin.gif

Now the T34.. ooo that thing just looks *mean*. And I hear it was designed by an american, plans started as far back as 1936! Yet the american army wasn't interested so the designer took his plans to russia.. Man.. imagine if the US had those on the western front redface.gif

  5. hi there from the organiser type guy of the london mission to Bovington biggrin.gif

I would like to go and get some great photos and info for all you people out there, and you lot at BTS as well. Any requests?

If we came up with a list of info you lot want we might be able to get some special access to some of these tanks, get inside, drive 'em around, fire off a few rounds wink.gif I reckon if I had the tiger and Germanboy in a tank i'd have 'im biggrin.gif

Anyway, back to the issue at hand. Bovington has a huge collection of tanks and vehicles from WW2, do you lot have any info requests?
