Thanks Black Sabot: Great idea but as fatherof6 said it might not work. You mentionned the same code but IIRC Steve told us, a while ago on an other thread, that we did not yet see much and that we would be even more amazed of the rest. I just can't wait. Jochen2 I think we, Swiss, people should get the game first because we did not draw much blood during this period of time as any other in fact. The game will be shipped soon and the Americans and Canadian will get the game first. In the rest of the world, we'll get it weeks after and the forum will be filled with comments on how the game is greater than the gold demon and this senario is huge and so on. There will be tons of post saying "spoiler". And I will just be waiting for my game to come. I already hate everyone who will get the game before me !

I was wondering if we could have some kind of time device to help us plan things. What I mean is to be able to delay an action a few second while waiting for an artillery barrage to fall for instance. In one of my PBEM I wanted an 81mm mortar barrage falling on a tank formation and at the same time that my StuG would start rolling. But when I plotted the move it said Pause 13sec and barrage artillery in 34 sec. I thought it could be OK but it wasn't. The intended move was to have my StuG facing the Shermans when the arty shells were falling but not after a minute or so but rather just a few second after the first shell would have hit the ground. Thus having achieved the most surprise and I could have hit the tank at the worst possible moment. The TC getting in his tank and the crew wondering what is happening. It might not last long in real life, 1-2 sec or so but it might have given me an edge. If I could have delayed the StuG just a few seconds. Or give the TC an order such as : as soon as shells drop from the sky move and kill the tank. (I hope I made myself clear because I don't know how to explain this. Sorry for it) Second : It would be nice, when plotting a move, to know how many turns it takes to get there. It could help to launch an attack without delay and with all of our forces there in the same time. I don't know if those two things are by any way realistic at all. I doubt it though. I was just wondering if you guys at BTS planned to release a desktop theme (mere translation of the words in French, because I don't know the words in English, but I guess you got what I mean) of CM ? I would love to see a Panther on my desktop with a building close to it and a burning sherman in the background. A mouse pointer with the shape of a tiger or anything related to CM. Gun firing sound, burning sound, etc.. Incoming artillery barrage sound. I don't know if it is possible, if it costs too much money or even if someone else than me is interested. I'm just asking because I would love to see it. I know that Cool Col J (hope I spelled it right otherwise I apologize) did a few pictures as wallpaper, but I want more. In the contrary to LOBO I love to play the Germans. I don't play the Allied nor the Russians for that matter. I have been growing a feeling of pity and despair for those German youg boys so blindly lead by Hitler. I mean they had everything to win. Great material, great leaders (not the big brass like Hitler,Göring, Keitel, Jodel or Himmler), a great fighting spirit, great scientists. Don't get me wrong, I hate and loath the Nazis. I'm just talking about the poor soldier who is only doing is soldier's duty.

I must say that I'm looking forward, as a PC user, to by an Apple G4. All I need is the money because it's expensive and much more than a PC. All PC user have a variety of choice for any hardware, mother board, processor and stuff which makes the price of everything sink. Mac uses, as far as I know, only few, if not none, different hardware company. That's why it is so expensive. I know I could buy an IMac cheaper but I don't want any of those 15 inch tube. I want a 17 at least. I guess in 1 or 2 year-time I'll will be able to afford a G4 and I'm really looking forward to it. As for games CM is the best so why bother playing anything else. What else do we need. Thanks again OB&G for your advice.

Thanks guys. I'll have a friend of mine redo the Win98 install as I'm scared to do it myself and lose some files, which happened already to the great diguise of my wife. I barely escaped death that day. Reinstalling IE sounds easier though. But I don't get what that could help. Thank you again.

A shame that the good games and wargames in particular are made by small companies that cannot afford to go public as widely as they would, should or even deserved. Advertising costs so much. It's a petty for us players because otherwise I'm sure we would have heard more about good games made by small companies. Not always those *hit games made by Microsoft for instance. What's tragic and sad is that the site you mention, Gamespot, Avault, Game-over etc are only intersted in money making (somehow it's understandable you have to pay the rent). I'm sure their getting more than even. It's a shame they don't sponsor small companies like BTS for instance. Money, money, money that's all they care for. If you are potentially able to bring them a lot of money, they will agree to look down to your project but otherwise go to hell ! That's the truth, the drama of this world. Hi everyone. Does anyone have problem accessing this site ? Very recently I have trouble doing it. My system crashes with an error message telling me of a conflict with a KERNEL32.DLL file. I have no clue what it is and what to do to correct it. I have tried several browser and the same applied for them all. Weirder is that some day it works fine and the next day it crashes. And so on. Today I have tried it on a public computer and the search function caused the system to crash. So if someone could help. I cannot live without my daily CM news. Thanks a lot.
