  1. Well while I'm going crazy waiting for the demo (like everyone else here , I was reflecting on a feature I've liked in a couple of tactical games, i.e. Have a 'cut-scene' that shows an overall strategy map with arrows of conflict that 'you' will be envolved in. This is a nice feature inasmuch as it gives the player a sense historical overview of where the fight takes place. This could be both a scenario or campaign feature. You could even add what outfit you are attached to. Plus perhaps even a voice-over regarding the situation. Just imho would add a nice ambiance to your combat situation. Donald
  2. I want to add my voice of high praise to Fionn and Martin for the AAR's and Steve's constant 'side-bars'. It's got me at a high pitch of anticipation...JUST for the demo, let alone the full game. I also enjoyed Fionn's LOS article. I, as many others I'm sure in this forum, are at a very high alert status for the demo Donald
  3. Sounds great (of course!) Fionn. Thanks! Donald p.s. I guess too, upon reflection, there is alot of this type of information in the editor.
  4. O.K. Thanks Preacher. I'll look around. Donald
  5. First, one of the many cool things I see in the AAR's, previews etc. is the percent hit on an object. But I would like to know if there will be any weapon charts 'on-line' or in the manual. I started boardgaming in 1970 and of course migrated to computer gaming asap. But one game really taught me weapon comparisons against each other, that was Tobruk. I was able to not only see from the multitude charts the 'real' gun/armour etc. factors at different distances (this includes armour and infantry weapons), but the percentages of success. This gave me a real feel for all the weapons. So even tho' CM will give that aspect within the game, when trying to set-up your forces to those you 'think' or know are to your front, it would be nice to be able to refer to such charts. Sure, I probably have some books or something around that I might be able to use, but it be more handy (and of course 'stats' do change from one publications to another, so it would be nice to see what the designers are using) to have it 'on hand' with the game. Donald
  6. O.K. Steve. Thanks anyway. I definitely don't want to detract from you finishing the product Donald ------------------
  7. I know there have been several threads about the best WW II books. But I was wondering Steve if you plan on have a bibliography at the end of the manual. I'm always curious to see what designers use for their sources. Plus to see if there's anything interesting that could be added to my own meager library of WW II. ------------------
