The Steppenwulf
Can one even call oneself a tabletop wargamer if one hasn't heard of Donald Featherstone? I suppose we could excuse the Warhammer players - but they are slightly detached from reality anyhow.
John Kettler
dieseltaylor, The Featherstone book Tank Battles in Miniature was/is a classic. It was my first introduction to first person accounts of tank warfare, so it was the ancestor, in a sense, of The Battery Commander, His Batsman, and a Cook. I particularly remember Featherstone's steel wooled lucite block representing what could be seen of an enemy column on the move in the desert. Not much! Am staggered by the man's productivity as a writer. Regards, John Kettler
